Page 52 of With You Forever

And Seth knows one thing is true—he wouldn’t last a single day without this woman beside him.

Finally, he finds his voice. “You look beautiful, princess.”

Tears fill her eyes. “So do you,” she breathes. She tilts her head. “Are you ready?”

In answer, he pulls her close. He ain’t playing hands off. Hell nah, not today. “Smartest thing I ever did was put that ring on your hand.”

She scoffs. “You got lucky.”

He sobers. “I did. Damn lucky.” He pins his eyes to hers. He knows the preacher’s waiting, but he can’t wait. He has to say this. “I’m with you forever, Lacey. Good, bad. Happy, sad. Whatever comes our way, we take it. Together.”

Lacey blinks away tears as his words wash over her.

“Rest of my life, until the end of my damn days,” Seth says in a steady drawl. “I’ll love you.”

A loud sob from Emmy Lou.

And as for Alabama, Griff and Jace ...

The entire room’s losing it and they haven’t even started yet. Only Cash, held tight in Griff’s tattooed arms, squawks his objections.

“You can’t do this.” Lacey sniffles as she turns to the group. Tears drip onto her bouquet. She doubles over, laughing. “You’re gonna make me ruin my makeup.”

“Goddamn,” Luke says in a hoarse voice, wiping his eyes on his shirt sleeve.

Sal steps forward, helps Lacey straighten up, adjusting her veil, her train. She gives Seth a wobbly smile.

Then Lacey and Seth turn to face the preacher.

One breath.

One heartbeat.

One day at a time.

Starting with today.

Lacey laughs as she watches Seth take a shot with the guys. His jacket’s gone, draped over a chair, leaving him in a plaid long-sleeved shirt that’s been shoved up on his forearms. With mussed hair and a mischievous grin, he looks so damn sexy her legs could buckle here and now.

It’s been a night, and while she’s tired, she doesn’t want this magical time to ever end. What’s a better way to celebrate their love than being surrounded by their closest friends and family?

After they said their vows, a private chef prepared them a delicious southern meal for dinner, and now everyone’s gathered around the bar. Jace plays bartender. Emmy Lou, Alabama and Sal perch on stools.

Seth pounds the bar, says to Jace, “Pour a little more, you stingy bastard. This is a celebration.”

Jace arches a solemn brow. “It’s your weddin’ night, man.”

Griff, Cash cradled in his brawny tattooed arms, laughs. “Shit, Seth, that’s a gotcha ring if I ever seen one.”

“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” Seth drawls, lifting his hand to flash his silver wedding band.

Alabama scoffs and nods at Griff’s bright band of gold. “Like you’re one to talk.”

Griff gives her a wink and a kiss.

“It looks good on him,” Lacey teases, coming up behind Seth. She ducks under his arm and he pulls her close. “But I don’t think any of you have complimented my third dress tonight.” She waves a hand around her flashy off-white minidress with ostrich feather cuffs.

Seth clicks his tongue. “Pathetic. No one loves her or pays any attention.”
