Because that kiss? That fucking kissdestroyedme.

He still had his hand around my throat as he claimed my mouth, his tongue thrusting against mine like an invading army that intended to leave no prisoners, and his chest flattened my boobs, making my nipples ache for his hands, his mouth.

And all the while his hard dick was pressed against my stomach, sending wet heat to the center of my body, clamoring for him like some kind of wild animal.

I moaned into his mouth and his free hand fished frantically under my skirt.

And thank god, because it was the heat of his palm on my thigh that brought me back to reality.

What thefuckwas I doing?

I bit his lip. Hard.

“Ow, fuck!” He stepped back, a look of shock on his face.

His eyes were cloudy, and I felt a surge of triumph. He’d obviously been working some kind of twisted power play on me.

The sick fuck.

But he’d lost track of his agenda — whatever it was — as much as I had.

He lifted a couple of fingers to his bleeding lip, then looked at them with surprise. “You fucking bit me.”

I gave him a sweet smile. “There’s more where that came from if you want it.”

I expected him to be pissed. Instead an evil smile lifted the corners of his mouth.

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Jezebel.” His voice was low and dark. He started for the door. “Security will be patrolling the second floor in less than three minutes. And you won’t find what you’re looking for here.”

I hesitated, wondering how he knew about the security guards and their patrol schedule, how he knew there was nothing about Emma in the dean’s office.

Then I wondered how Neo Alinari managed to make me so hot when he was such a colossal asshole.

He reached the door and turned back to me. “You coming?”

Willa

Rock grinned at me from across the kitchen island. All the guys had taken off their jackets the second we walked in the door, and Rock had unbuttoned his dress shirt. He looked tousled and sexy as hell. “I should have known our kitten would be curious.”

“I think stupid is a better word,” Neo said, slamming the fridge shut.

He uncapped a beer and drank half of it in one go.

We’d left the ball shortly after Neo and I had returned to the first floor. And he’d been right: the security guard had been heading for the stairwell when we stepped back into the ballroom.

Neo had filled Oscar and Rock in on the way home while I’d sulked in the backseat. I didn’t know what pissed me off more — the fact that Neo was treating me like a child or the fact that he’d made me want him so fucking bad in the dean’s office.

I glared at him. “It’s not stupid to want to know what happened to my sister.”

“It’s not,” Oscar soothed, taking the seat next to me at the island.

“Yeah, Neo,” Rock said, cutting a glare at Neo. “It’s not.”

“Fucking suck-ups,” Neo said, shaking his head.

“Can you blame me?” I shot back. “What would you do if someone you loved went missing? Buy another Hummer? Add a wing onto your house?”
