They would be leaving in a few days, and she’d have to get herself together before then.

Snow leopards didn’t need much, and Tripp’s travel company would have gear for her. She would have to get everything she needed tomorrow.

She only hoped that Tripp would be okay with coming along shopping with her. There was no way in hell she’d leave him alone.

A wave of exhaustion knocked into her, and she walked back to the bedroom. She placed her phone on the dresser and stumbled to the bed.

Amelia was asleep within seconds.

Amelia woke with the sun,the leopard inside her stretching and growling.

Tripp was still asleep, but she wasn’t surprised. He’d had a rough few days. She would let him sleep as long as she could.

He would need all the strength he could get for this trip.

She checked her phone, looking through Nick’s updates. Then, hurrying to brush her teeth, she went through her morning rituals then went to the kitchen, where she put the coffee on.

Thank God Tripp only bought the best coffee,Amelia thought as she looked at the bag.

Nick had the nasty habit of bringing her coffee which tasted like dishwater from the small diners around the city.

After consuming her first cup in a hot, hurried manner, Amelia started a short morning workout.

Her snow leopard was active and strong, and she liked to keep her human form as fit as she could. Even though she was only Nick’s assistant and not a trained bodyguard. The snow leopard inside her demanded activity all the time. And she couldn’t ignore the demands of the animal.

She would only do yoga that morning, mostly because she didn’t have her usual workout equipment around and didn’t feel comfortable leaving for a run.

But yoga would be enough to get her muscles warmed up and test her endurance.

Amelia was pleased when she finished her hour-long session. Her body was as strong as it always was. And the snow leopard inside her was purring.

Her phone buzzed again, and this time it was Nick with their flight number and ETA. Amelia and Tripp had less than a week to prepare.

Things were really heating up. And Amelia couldn’t deny that she enjoyed it.

She headed for the bathroom again, turning on the shower taps. She would wake him up when she finished showering. Then they’d have to head to the store.

But Tripp beat her to it. He was awake when she stepped out of the shower. He was scrolling through his phone as she hurriedly pulled her clothes on.

“You showered without me?” He sounded disappointed, and she laughed.

“Yes, I did. And you need to get in the shower too. We have a busy day of shopping ahead of us.”

He acquiesced easily, and she rummaged through her bag, one that Nick had told her to take with her to the party, checking inventory.

Even though she was Nick’s assistant, she had learned enough to know what she needed.

In her bag were the various communication devices Nick had packed for her. He had also given her a tactical belt. She wasn’t quite sure what filled every one of the many pockets. But Nick liked being prepared for every eventuality.

“Which shops are we going to?” Tripp appeared behind her, fully dressed. He slid his hands around her waist.

She smiled as he planted a soft kiss on her forehead.

The leopard inside her purred, its tail swishing.

“I just need to pick up a few things. I’m bringing you along for safety purposes. We’ll spend the rest of the week preparing for departure.”
