I hugged and greeted the brothers and slid into the booth between Mia and Tess, giving Danielle a questioning look. She must have picked this club for this specific reason.

After the first couple of drinks, Danielle and Tess hit the dance floor with Joel. So that left Mia, Eric, and me at our booth. We chatted, and I explained to Mia that I was working with Eric to bring his restaurant's food to the resort for our events.

The two of them seemed to get along well, and then Mia claimed she needed to make a call and disappeared. Then we were down to the two of us.

"I've missed you Sin. It feels like it's been forever since we talked." I fucking hated small talk, and Eric tried really hard to make small talk. I did my best to hide my cringe.

"Been busy, family in town. Sorry." I said over my jalapeno martini. My second one in the last twenty minutes.

Eric slid along the bench to sit next to me. Fucking hell, the last time I was this close to a man I was with Kai. Before I found out that he betrayed me. He lied to me from the beginning.

I smiled at Eric. "Dance with me," I said as I took his hand and led him out onto the dance floor.

We joined Tess, Danielle, and Joel on the dance floor. So many bodies crushed together, gyrating to loud music. As we danced, eric got closer, wrapping his arms around my waist, his hands moving up my corset-bound stomach.

His grip tightened on my body pulling me closer to him. The smell of Palo Santo and sweat filled my nostrils. I felt dizzy and claustrophobic. I needed a little more space, I guess I drank more than I thought. I pulled away from Eric to give myself a little more breathing room.

It didn't take long for his body to find mine again. Eric's arm snaked around my waist, his hands finding my chest as he pulled himself up behind me. His nose went to my hair, and he whispered something about how sexy I looked on the dance floor.

The combination of my martinis and the crowded dance floor made me ill. The god-awful scent that Eric always wore didn't help either. I turned to face Eric on the dance floor. He took that as his cue to kiss me. So not what I was going for.

I pushed at his chest; I wasn't feeling well. I liked Eric, he was a nice guy, and I knew I liked working with him, but he was too handsy, too close. I turned back away from him and started to dance with Tess, who alternated back and forth between dancing with Danielle and Joel.

We danced like this for the remainder of whatever song mash-up played, and into the next. I hoped with a little breathing room, I'd feel better, but the room was spinning. I needed air, I needed off the dance floor.

I whispered to Danielle that I was going back to our booth and kissed her on the cheek. Tess, who looked around for an accessible dance partner turned to Eric as I was walking off the floor.

He must not have noticed because he reached out for my hand and pulled me into him. The jerky motion of him grabbing me and my already dizzy head didn't do well for my stomach. I stumbled into his chest, and he held me tight. I pushed at him to release me, but he didn't pay me any attention, he kept dancing.

I shoved at his chest a little harder and broke free with just enough time for the two martinis and my dinner to come back up and out. I puked all over Eric's chest.

Iwouldkillthispiece of shit prick who didn't get the hint that Sin wanted to be left alone. My brothers and I had just gotten into town and texted Mia. She told us where they were, and we met her outside.

She warned us from the start that they were with a couple of guys that Sin and her friend worked with, so I came in well-prepared to see them dancing, maybe even flirting. I knew now, thanks to Mia's clarification, Sin came to the hotel when Millie showed up.

Mia told Noah that Sin absolutely refused to talk about it or hear anything having to do with me. She was hurt beyond repair, and all because she saw something that didn't really happen. I didn't blame her though. After all the shit she had been through over the years trust did not come naturally to her.

Then this shithead tonight. Cal and I were about to confront the douchebag when Sin's stomach decided to take matters into its own hands, so to speak. I smiled with pride as she vomited all over his chest.

"Fucking bitch." mister douchebag yelled, loud enough to get the attention of other dancers, including the guy who was all over Tess and Sin's tall blonde friend, Danielle. She stopped dancing and stalked over to Sin and ass-face.

Funny thing, Cal was already there. My little brother beat me to the punch. Or he would have if Sin hadn't puked a second time, all over the guy. As she wiped her mouth, little tears fell from the corners of her eyes, she looked up and we locked eyes as I approached.

"Kai" It came out more like a whimper.

I scooped Sin into my arms. As I walked out of the club, I heard my brother tell the guy, in a not-so-quiet voice, "You're lucky. She saved you from getting your ass kicked when she did... that."

A few minutes later, Tess, Danielle, and Cal got in the car with Sin and I and Cal drove us all back to Sins' apartment. Mia and Noah took an Uber to the hotel to check on Millie.

I had Cal drop us off at the apartment so he could meet Noah and Mia at the hotel and pick them up. I wanted him to bring Millie back to the apartment so we could sort out this insane mess with Sin, but she was clammy and half-asleep by the time we got her home. We would wait until morning.

Once we got Sin settled in bed, I turned to Tess and Danielle.

"Who the fuck was that douche canoe?" I tried to keep my tone level, I wasn't angry with them, or Sin. I was angry with myself for screwing things up so badly that I pushed Sin to put herself in this situation.
