Page 75 of Walker

Walker laughs. “He is an MC kid through and through. Reminds me a lot of Tristan at that age.”

“Mom!” Oaklyn runs to us, hugging me and then her dads who hold her a little too long looking over her shoulder at Rhett and Micah.

I find it hilarious that they are not intimidated by Walker and Darren at all. Over the years they look mean and rough around the edges, but it hasn’t phased the two.

I move to the boys. “I’m glad you both could make it.” I hug them both, I really do like them. They care about my baby and that’s important to me.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world, ma’am,” Rhett says in his very southern drawl. Oh boy.

Walker and Darren come over to Rhett and Micah. Darren gives them a stiff handshake; I can see him squeezing their hands hard. They just smile at him. I cover my mouth with my hand, trying not to smile.

Walker is next and Oaklyn is rolling her eyes tired of her dads acting like this, but her grandpas are even worse and let’s not get started on all of the uncles.

“Whatever you do to her, I will do to you,” Walker warns them.

Micah laughs, Rhett lifts his eyebrow smirking. “Are you sure about that, sir?” He winks.

Oh my God.

We may not make it out of this… “Come on boys, let’s get food,” I suggest before the brawl breaks out.

The glaring doesn’t stop. Yeah, the odds are not in your favor, Oaklyn.
