“No, not yet.”

“Well let’s go take one, if you want?” Darren asks me.

“I want to.” I take his hand and let him help me off the bed. “I’ll go distract the parents with my fishing shit and I’ll be back. Don’t read it without me,” Walker tells us shutting the door.

“Darren, please tell me it’s okay if I’m pregnant. You both wanted this, right?” I need the extra reassurance.

He leads me into the bathroom and sets me onto the counter. “Sweet girl, we want to have a baby with you, that is without a doubt.”

He reaches into the drawer and takes out the test. “If you don’t want a baby, that’s okay.”

I’m so in love with this man, both of them. “As long as they have your eyes.”

He presses his forehead against mine, smiling. “As long as they have your heart.”

“Walker’s stubbornness,” I joke and he laughs. “God help us if so.”

He leaves me alone to take the test. I read the directions before I pee on the little stick, putting on the cap and shutting the door behind me so I can’t see into the bathroom.

“I have your clothes.” He hands me a pair of leggings and a baggy sweatshirt. “I’m packing a blanket for you in case you get cold.”

Walker walks into the bedroom. “Your mom has been in the kitchen, she said that you haven’t been cooking enough for us men.”

I laugh. “Mom barely touches a skillet, my dad ends up doing it before she has a chance.” That sounds familiar.

“Did you take it?” he asks, smoothing my hair back that’s messy from slipping on the sweatshirt.

I nod. “Yeah, it’s on the counter if you want to get it?” I twist my hands in front of me, the anticipation killing me.

He rubs my cheek with his thumb. “Okay, baby.”

He walks into the bathroom, coming back out a second later with the test covered up. “I didn’t see it yet, we can all look together.”

He sits down in front of me. He flips the test over and I hold my breath trying to read the results.

Oh my God.

“You’re pregnant!” Darren answers.

I cover my mouth shocked. I had a feeling, but I didn’t think that it could happen this quick.

Walker presses his head against my stomach, Darren laughs. “I can’t believe it, I’m going to be a dad.”

I’m going to be a mom; I can see them with our baby. “Hello, are you guys coming?” my mom yells from downstairs somewhere.

Walker kisses below my belly button one last time before standing. “I’m going to book a doctor’s appointment to make sure I am just in case.”

“Good idea.”

I smile, excited, scared, and so many different emotions I’m feeling right now but the most important one is, I’m so happy.

The happiness in their eyes when the test was turned over and that plus sign showed, I will never forget that.

Darren snakes his hand under my shirt. “To think a fucking baby is in there.”

Well, there goes my heart.

“We better go before my mom kills us all. Do we keep this a secret until we know for sure?” I ask.
