“Well, I may or may not have my boyfriends beating him up in the bathroom right now,” I say softly, making my way to the bathroom so I can peek in there.
He lets out a booming laugh. “They sound like my kind of people. Can I speak to one of them?”
I push open the door and I look to the ground seeing the kidnapper lying there groaning, holding his middle and his face is practically black. “Her dad wants to speak to one of you. Is it okay if she stays with us tonight until her family comes? Oh wait, do you think we need to take her to the hospital?” I didn’t think of that.
I hand the phone off to Darren and go back to her and she’s shoveling down her food. It is like she hasn’t eaten anything all day. “This is hard for me to ask and I know it will be even harder for you to answer. Did he hurt you in any way? Do I need to take you to the hospital?”
She closes her eyes at the question before she shakes her head. “He just grabbed and pulled me really hard to get me inside of the car. He did tell me that he planned on having sex with me, but the place had to be perfect for our first time.” Her face pales.
I rub the back of her head and go back to the guys. “He didn’t assault her, but he planned to.” I’m disgusted by him.
“I hope you all rot in hell,”he tells us.
“You’ll be there soon, fucker,” Walker growls at him. “We’ll keep him for you at the clubhouse.” He hangs up the phone. “A prospect is coming to pick him up now.”
Darren takes off his belt and ties him to the sink with it, stuffing a bunch of toilet paper in his mouth to keep him quiet.
“We have not had good luck in the last few hours, first Charles and now fucking this,” Darren tells us.
“I call it good luck because we saved that girl’s life.”
We have made it home and are getting Opal calmed down and settled in the guest room. I hand her some of my clothes and toiletries. I show her where everything is that she may need in the bathroom and where I will be sleeping if she needs me in the middle of the night.
I basically fall into bed; I’m beyond exhausted. The guys climb in beside me. “Is she okay?” Darren asks me, sticking his hand under my shirt to rub my stomach.
I yawn, dramatically. “Yeah, she’s exhausted. My heart hurts for her. She went on a blind date and it turned into this.”
Walker kisses the top of my head. “Fuck baby that’s some rough shit; that could have been anyone.”
I close my eyes and snuggle into both of them, needing them close. “I can’t believe you beat up Charles.” I burst out laughing.
Darren laughs into the side of my neck. “Fuck, he deserved that shit. He threatened you and that is more than enough reasoning to beat his ass.” Walker grunts his agreement to Darren's statement.
“I do love you guys,” I admit out loud in the dark of the room. A fan is on but they are still and silent like they’re letting my words process.
“Fuck, I love you too, angel. So much.” Darren kisses my lips, holding me tight.
Walker grips my face turning me toward him. “And I love you, sweetheart.” Can someone die of being so happy?
Because if so, I will be okay with that.
He kisses my forehead tenderly, holding me just as tight as Darren. “Goodnight,” I whisper rubbing the back of their heads, my fingers buried in the back of their hair. Both of their heads are lying in the crook of my neck and their legs are intertwined with mine.
Heaven.
I slide out of bed from in between them and I go to Opal’s door. I peek inside to make sure she’s okay and see that she’s still asleep.
I climb back into bed with the guys and both roll toward me, cuddling up against me. I reach over and check my phone to see if her dad has messaged us anymore.
He has texted me that he is ten minutes away and that was eleven minutes ago. Oh shit! “You guys her dad should be here any minute,” I tell them and jump out of bed putting on a pair of leggings and a plain t-shirt.
I run downstairs to the camera and alarm system by the door and I can see a SUV parked outside of it. “Who is it?” I ask to make sure.
He sticks his head out of the window and looks toward the speaker. “It’s Opal’s dad.”
I press the button letting him in and step out onto the porch. Darren walks out beside me rubbing my arms, it’s cold out this morning. “I understand why some dads are crazy protective over their kids. I know if we had a girl, I may just keep her in the house forever.”
I laugh. “Darren, I’m sure she’ll love that,” I joke.
