“What the fuck, Wylla!” she hollers, her face turning red in embarrassment. Or is it anger? I’m not sure, and honestly, I don’t care as long as she keeps standing there looking like a perfect morning snack. One that I desperately want a taste of.
Hurrying to turn back around, we get a good view of her round plump ass before she grabs a shirt off her bed and puts it on, snarling as she stands with her hands on her hips. She looks as mad as a hatter.
She seems pissed that I’m with Blaine. Not wanting to upset her, I let her know I literally ran into him at the library and brought him here because I think I found what I was looking for to help her. With him being her mate, it’s important he knows as well.
She relaxes, and I stride across the room, sitting on the bed in front of her.
“You look good in my clothes, Magz, baby,” I purr at her. The wolf growls and stares daggers at me. I give him a shrug. There’s no way I’m wasting any chance with this woman. He can just get on board with it or be a pissy little puppy.
“Down, Fido. We have shit to discuss, and I need you to be calm and not all growly. Do we need a shock collar or a rolled newspaper, so we learn to share?” I tease him.
He rolls his eyes at me but stops growling as he falls down into the chair at the desk. Twirling the chair to face us, he crosses his arms and stares at us, a pissed-off scowl on his face.
“I think I found a solution to your problem, but after talking to my grandmother, it’s not a one-step fix. According to her, I need to perform a scanning ritual first. It—”
“What?” they both say in raised voices, simultaneously interrupting me, then look at each other, blushing.Goddess above, this is awkward even for me.
“It’s a simple ritual; the hardest part will be sneaking into the locker room in the sports complex, so we can use their tub.”
“Done,” Blaine grinds out.
I look at him, but he just gives me a shrug, so I continue, “Then I’ll just need some salt and herbs, two black candle sticks, and holders. The rest is just some focus and fancy words. Easy, I told you.”
“What exactly will this spell do to my ma—I mean Magnolia?” Blaine demands.
I roll my eyes at his guard dog behavior. “Nothing. It will simply reveal to us if any other spells are in place besides the designation suppression. The spell can only be done once all other spells are removed. So the scanning ritual is a must just for safety.”
“Do it!” Magnolia bursts.
“Magnolia, we need to discuss this. I don’t want to go in blind on something like this. We don’t need to rush,” Wolf boy pleads.
“This is my choice. I am sick and tired of males telling me what to do. I would like to take my life back. So Wylla, let’s get what you need and go.”
Blaine goes ahead of us, rounding the corner of the sports complex, making sure the coast is clear. Looking back, he waves his hand at us, motioning us forward.Guess the coast is clear. He never told us how he knew how to get into the locker rooms.
All three of us hurry to the door where Blaine knocks three times fast, then knocks twice again, this time spreading the knocks farther apart. We’re looking at him like he’s batshit crazy when a guy shows up in the window next to the door. He looks out, noting it is us, then we hear the lock click.
Stepping back, the guy opens it and lets us in. In what can only be described as a bro hug, Blaine claps him on his back.
“Blaine, man, you owe me big for this.” He cocks a brow at Blaine as he finishes.
“Thanks, Brick. We owe you. You should come over this weekend. I’ll get some drinks, and we’ll order in.” Blaine looks at Brick for his response. I can’t help but notice as he keeps skirting his eyes over to Magz and me. He’s cute, but he needs to back the hell up. She already has three dicks and a pussy to keep her busy. She doesn’t need him. Plus, he has a weird smell, one that turns my stomach.
Brick fits him. This dude is built like a brick shit house. He’s every bit six feet tall, which is shorter than Blaine and the guys. However, Brick is thick with muscle and mass. Light brown hair, piercing gray eyes, and he has a beautiful black bear tattoo covering his shoulder and biceps.
Catching me staring, my nose turns up in distaste, Blaine chuckles and I quirk an eyebrow at him.
“Brick is on the Rugby team. He’s a year ahead of us, but we’re old friends. His cousins live on pack lands, and he’s visited often. His parents actually requested to move to our lands, and I think the board is ready to finalize their acceptance. But you didn’t hear that from me.” Blaine looks at Brick and winks.
“Nice to meet you. I’m not trying to be rude, but can we go?” Magz whispers softly. I wonder if she wants to get away from the bear as much as I do.
Blaine reaches out, taking one of mine and Magz’s hands in each of his as he leads us down the hallway. Whispering softly, he tells us, “The athletic director’s office is where the tub is, and it’s right down here. We need to be quiet though, just in case someone is around.”
Stepping into the director’s office, we see the lights are out and it appears to be empty. We shut the door behind us once we’re inside, making sure to lock the door. We make our way over to the tub and I pull a table over to it. Looking over my shoulder, I see the bear following us. “What the hell are you doing?”
“I’m responsible if anything happens here. So whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with me. Plus, you might need my help,” he announces boldly.
Shaking it off, not even wanting to deal with it, I continue what I’m doing before turning to Magz to let her know what she needs to do.
