“Open it.”
He ripped open the envelope and the brilliant smile that spread across his face had me grinning from cheek to cheek. He rubbed a hand over his face to cover his joy, but he couldn’t hide it from me.
“He signed it?”
I nodded enthusiastically. “It’s yours. Morgan agreed to your plans and signed the papers today.”
He dropped the paper and picked me up once again, this time spinning me around the room. “Congratulations, Colton. This is going to be your legacy.”
He put me down and held my face. “No, sweetheart. This is just business. My love for you will be my legacy. I promise you that.”
Then he kissed me until I forgot my own name—again.
