I’d been an idiot to pretend I didn’t want Judith wholly and completely. To try to convince myself she wasjust a friend.

I crushed my mouth to hers, letting desire mingle with and wash away regret. “It should’ve been mine.Youshould’ve been mine. “What if I want Dom, too?” Her question was soft, but there was no hesitation in her voice.

I smiled against her mouth and dragged a thumb along her cheek. “He’s the only person I’ll share your heart with, and I’m not letting him go either. I’ll tell anyone and everyone that you’re both mine. I’m tired of hiding it from the world and myself. I’d burn the world down for you, but that doesn’t make me want him any less.”

“I love you too.” The way she said the words, breathless but with all the confidence I expected from her, was one of the hottest things I’d ever heard. “I love you so much it aches.”

I kissed her on the nose. “You do like pain.”

Her laugh was a masterpiece in art. “Touché.”

“You two are terrifying when you work together.” Dominic’s voice wove its way into the moment. “And sexy as fuck.”

I forced myself to pull away from the kiss enough to face Dominic, but I didn’t let go of Judith.

“Don’t stop on my account. I was enjoying the show,” Dominic said.

Judith tangled her fingers with mine. “How long have you been back?”

“Long enough to hear everything we said about him.” I wasn’t sure, but I was pretty close.

The shock on Dominic’s face was ridiculously exaggerated. “You were talking about me, and not just making out? I hope everything you said was good.”

“It always is.” Reaching out her other hand, Judith wiggled her fingers.

Dominic grasped her fingertips.

This was close to perfect, and I needed it to be completely there. “I propose we continue this somewhere safer.” I kissed Judith on the forehead. “Pack a bag, you’re coming home with us.”

“Bossy much?” Like she had room to talk.

“Always.” I let go of her hand to grip her chin. “It’s an order, not a request.”

Her smile was playful and mischief danced in her eyes, and if I hadn’t still been hard from all the kissing, that look would’ve made my cock strain against my jeans.

“Yes, sir.” Her compliance would’ve been hot, except that even if she was willing to yield in the bedroom, she never called anyonesirseriously.

Rather than call her on it, I smacked her ass as she walked away.

As she vanished into her bedroom, Dominic pressed into my back and wrapped his arms around my waist. He pressed his lips to my cheek. “It’s about fucking time.”

“That doesn’t sound like positive reinforcement to me,” I teased.

“The way you had your lips glued to hers was plenty positive. Enough charge in the fucking air to power this entire block of condos.”
