“Sweetheart, it’s dangerous where I’m going. I want you safe at home when I come back.”

“I’m scared. Those people sound dangerous.”

“Why don’t the Seals rescue him?”

“Because I’m the one who knows where all those spots are—where they take their victims?”

“How do you know?”

“I was a victim of theirs once before I got away.”

“How did you get away?”

“I killed the men who were guarding me. I love you with my whole being, but I must do this.”

“I know. Please come back to me. I hope you can save your friend.”

“Me too. Goodbye, sweetheart.”

“You take care of yourself. We all need you; don’t forget that.”

“I will. Don’t worry about me.” I bent and kissed the babies goodbye, then went downstairs and kissed Julia. “Axel, when we get a chance, I’ll introduce you to some Navy Seals.”

“That’ll be great. I’ll see you when you get back.”

“Ican’t believe I’m spending my wedding night in an airplane to rescue Ethan Sullivan. I’m surprised he let himself get caught. There must be a reason. You know how his mind works. It doesn’t work like most people's.”

“Why was he in Italy, I wonder.”

“The only way we’ll find out is to find Ethan,” Matt said, stretching.

We were in the Seal Security’s plane and there were a few Seals with us. “How did you guys know where he was?”

Ryker looked at me, “Alex called and told us we needed to look on YouTube if we were looking for Ethan Sullivan. We weren’t, but you need to check it out if Alex says something. I don’t know how she connected him with us. But I learned years ago not to question what Alexandria knows. How are she and Conner doing?”

“They are doing good.”

“I’m glad. Do you want to tell me about the red mafia?”

“What is there to say about the devil? These men are crazy evil people. They came together from prison and the streets. Some women are in the red mafia and are as mean as the men. If they say they will do something, then they do it.

“Never underestimate them. And never get into a conversation with them. They will turn it against you. If they talk to you, only answer yes or no.”

Ryker shook his head. “They sound like people I never want to talk to.”

“Why do you think Ethan would be anywhere near those people?”

“His younger brother disappeared while he was here with some college friends, so I think he is looking for his brother. Ethan quit the Navy Seals.”

“I heard that. So what’s he doing?”

“He’s supposed to join us but things keep getting in the way. I’m going to get some shut-eye before we go to work.”
