“Aight. That’s all for now. Brothers, do yourselves a favor and be extra mindful around Raylynn and Savior. Not all of you want to look like Hammer. And go get your fuckin’ nose looked at by Doc. She should be here by now.” Catacomb stands as everyone else does. As I turn away, someone grabs my arm, and I spin back to find Catacomb’s hand there. “Hang back for a second, brother.”

Movin’ to stand next to him at the head of the table, I keep my mouth shut until the door closes behind the last brother. “What’s up?”

“Sandra is gonna put together Raylynn’s property cut and keep it on standby. As much as I want to, you know she can’t wear it until you officially claim her.”

Noddin’, I slide my hands in my front pockets. “I get it, Prez. I appreciate you givin’ her time.”

He waves me off. “Now, later, whatever. I know you’re gonna claim her eventually, so it ain’t like she’s gettin’ rank and then you’re gonna break up with her.”

I chuckle. “Ain’t gonna ever happen.”

Catacomb slaps me on the back, and that’s how we head to the common room, laughin’ at our own sappy asses. Once I grab my phone from the prospects, I head right back to my room, fishin’ my keys out of my pocket as I go. Unlockin’ the door, two different laughs flood my ears, and I step inside to find Lacey sittin’ on the couch with Raylynn. They’re both turned toward each other, one leg bend and on the couch under ‘em, holdin’ each others knees, and doubled over laughin’.

Shuttin’ the door, I watch ‘em for a second, amused at how red Raylynn’s face is. Eventually, she sucks in a breath and fans herself, tryin’ like hell to get some composure.

“Hey, Ren,” she says a little breathless. “Sorry I didn’t ask. I tried callin’ your phone but it went to voicemail.”

Steppin’ into the room, I walk over and kneel right in front of her. Grabbin’ her legs, I turn her whole body so she’s facin’ me with a leg on each side. Leanin’ forward, I slide my hands around her ass cheeks and yank her forward until her core is against the lower part of my chest. She yelps, but her arms go right around my shoulders, and she drags her nails lightly up the back of my head as she slides her fingers through my hair. The best part is the smile on her face.

“You don’t have to ask to have guests in here,” I say bringin’ one of my hands up the front of her neck. The way her eyes darken and flash makes me grin. “This is our room. Equally yours. Just don’t bring another man in here and we’re all good.” Slowly, I pull her face toward me, my grip in her neck just tight enough for her to come easily with the motion.

“I wouldn’t want any other man in here with me,” she whispers, and that’s a perfect answer, so I press my lips to hers, and then slide my hand from the front of her neck to the side.

Just as Raylynn lets me deepen the kiss, Lacey lets out an excited squeal, and Raylynn slowly pulls away. We both look over at her, and she’s got the biggest smile on her face— like so big, it looks like it hurts, with her hands clasped together against her chest. “You guys are so fuckin’ cute together. Ah, you’re so perfect for each other.”

Raylynn chuckles and I roll my eyes. “Lacey, does Catacomb know what a dork you are?”

Her face instantly goes from lovey-dovey to murderous. “Fuck you, Renegade. By that kiss, I can tell that the big bad enforcer is a total sap around my best friend.”

“You should see him with my daughter,” Raylynn mutters.

“Shut it, woman,” I snap playfully, makin’ ‘em both laugh.

As if on cue, Savior’s door opens, and the little princess comes paddin’ out of her room with her new Hei-Hei plushie clutched in her arms, and comes right for me. Turnin’ away from Raylynn, I don’t bother gettin’ off my knees. Savior skips the las few steps to reach me, and launches herself into my arms, huggin’ Hei-Hei with one hand, and puttin’ her other one around my shoulder.

“Can we have pizza for dinner, Ren-Ren?”

“Ren-Ren?” Lacey’s voice is low but the humor in it is unmistakable.

“Shut it, Lace,” I snap before lookin’ back to Savior. “Yes, we can have pizza.”

“Yay!” Savior throws her other arm around my neck and carefully, I push back to my feet, takin’ the little girl with me.

“You want bread sticks, too?” Savior nods her head. “Soda?”

“No, soda, Renegade,” Raylynn growls, Savior and I both look at her.

Glancin’ at Lacey, she got a smug little expression goin’ on. Instead of fightin’, I look back at Savior. “Orange soda.”

“No!” Raylynn yells and I move my glare to her.

“Orange soda for the little one, and you can hush, woman. I said the princess gets a soda.”

Raylynn tries not to smile and fails as she rolls her eyes and flops back on the couch. A second later, Lacey lets out a howlin’ laugh like I’ve never heard. I chuckle, too, and carry Savior with me to take my cut off and hold her while I order dinner.

I won’t always go against Raylynn when it comes to Savior, but right now, they both deserve to hear ‘yes’ as often as possible, so that’s what I’m gonna do, especially for little one.
