Page 53 of Bone's Destiny

“We have sex and kiss an awful lot, don’t you think?” I caressed his cheek and lifted onto my tiptoes with my lips puckered.

He met me halfway. “Yeah, and I’m not complaining.”

“Then call me what you feel is right.” My heart fluttered with excitement as I waited for his response.

“Uncle Bone!” The cutest little girl ran out of the house and flew into his arms, presumably, his niece Nova.

“Hey, pretty girl. How are you?”

“Great. I’m so happy to see you and your girlfriend.” She waved at me.

I returned a smile and held my breath, wondering what he’d say.

“Destiny and I are happy to see you too.” He looked over his shoulder and said, “Isn’t my girl beautiful.”

My girl.I teared up and quickly blinked them away. He called me his girl, I couldn’t believe it.

“Bone. Destiny. Come in,” a man wearing a cut like Micah’s said. I assumed he was one of his brothers.

“Come on, sweetheart.” He took my hand, and we went inside like we were a couple.

Holy shit! I think we were officially a couple.

Right?

People rushed over to hug Micah and they said hi to me. The older couple on the sofa didn’t greet us. I assumed they were Micah’s folks.

“Everyone, this is Destiny.” He reeled me in close. “My girl.”His hand snaked around my waist possessively.

“Hi.” I was sure I beamed like a silly schoolgirl, but I didn’t care. I was officially Mr. Sexy Grump’s girl.

After the introductions, the men went to the kitchen and left us women oohing and aahing over the new baby.

“Okay, I have to say, I’m stunned. My big brother isn’t easy to be with. I’m sure you’ve noticed. Am I right, ladies?” Piper nodded with raised eyebrows.

“Be nice to your brother,” Lady M said sternly. “Every person has their perfect match.” She considered me for a long second. “How old are you?”

Oh damn. I shifted on the sofa beside Reign, who was Buff’s, old lady. “I’ll turn twenty-one next month.”

“Mmm. You are a pretty young thing.” Lady M leaned toward me. “Don’t hurt my boy. His heart is delicate and should be protected.”

“I promise, his heart is safe with me.” I should have been scared or intimidated, but I had no intention of hurting Micah. “He’s an incredible man.”

Karma and Piper giggled.

“What? He is.”

“Don’t pay attention to those two.” Lady M smiled as if she approved of me. “You just be good to my son.”

“That’ll be easy. He’s just as good to me. From the beginning, he’s been attentive and caring.” My cheeks warmed. I didn’t want to say too much. I knew Micah might not appreciate it since he was angry with Lady M. She was just so easy to talk to. Actually, all the women were friendly and talkative. Not at all, like Fawn and Stevie. I wondered what the difference was between old ladies and club girls.

On the one hand, I related to Fawn and Stevie. They were trying to provide for themselves the best they could. I’d done the same thing before Micah. But I could tell I was a nicer person than the club girls. Maybe they saw me as a threat, which was silly.

Well, no. Not silly at all. The president of the Montana club had called me his girl in front of his entire family. That had to be huge.

I exhaled a content breath and admired the charming home. I could feel the love and the strong bonds formed among the women.

Nope, I didn’t feel as nervous anymore. But I did worry about my guy.
