“What can we do?” Maya’s voice comes across the line. “This Sir is much more dangerous than his father ever was.”

“I know that. Bekah, I need you to hack Lex’s gear and get me the tracking info on Fiona’s tracking chips in her bracelets. I need you to—” The words die as I turn when a loud bang hits the building. My brother Brody stomps toward me, his longer hair in complete disarray.

“He has Moira and one of the other girls too. I’ll kill him,” he barks.

“It sounds as though Sir has three women now.”

“Why the fuck is my name his password?” Bekah shouts, and I pull the mobile away from my face and look at it in shock.

“How did you get in so fast?” I’ve heard Lex talk a lot about how good she is and how he wouldn’t be surprised if she’s surpassed him.

“What do you mean your name is his password?” A voice I recognize as Bekah’s husband comes across the line.

“That is something you’re going to have to ask Lex when he’s conscious.”

“Oh, I’ll be asking him alright,” Derek growls.

“Honey, I swear I don’t know why Luther would use it. We were never romantic. He was like a big brother to me. He watched out for me.” She tries to calm her husband, and I smile knowing this is the secret I won’t have to reveal since she bypassed and hacked the system without further encouragement. “I will ask him as soon as I can. Mr. Tiernan, I’ve got the tracking information and will send you the coordinates. Anything else?”

“Joshua, I could use a couple of your team members for the night.”

“I’ll send some. I’ll also have Bekah and Timothy running video security on your man in the hospital.”

“What can I do from here?” Noah asks.

“Have your hacker check for any new arrivals from the East Coast to Belfast in the last twenty-four to forty-eight hours.”

“We are on it. Maybe we’ll get lucky and find his real name or one of his guys.”

“I’ll have the team text you when they get on the helicopter to head that way.” Joshua hangs up and I turn to give the guys the coordinates. Waiting for more men is going to be the hardest part.

Chapter Thirteen

Fiona

I lift my eyes at the clicking sound and look through the barrel of a revolver. As the gun cocks, I watch the chamber rotate, and the next bullet moves up in line. Fear prickles along my skin as I worry my bottom lip. My heart clenches at the thought of never seeing the ones I love again. Aidan and Mikayla. My unborn baby I just found out I’m carrying. I’m not sure how I’m going to survive this, but maybe I can keep him distracted until help arrives. Because I know they will come for me. Aidan will find me. He’ll blow up everything to get me back.

“Please. You don’t have to do this.” I look up past the gun and into his eyes. Eyes I’ve known for a while now. To a man I was supposed to marry. All I see is anger and hate. He knows I never loved him, that I’ve loved Aidan since the first moment I saw him.

“I have to do this. It was all supposed to be so easy. He told me it would be easy. You and I were already close, so all I had to do was get you to fall in love with me. We had a wedding planned. Your family wanted us to get married. But you made it so difficult when you had to fall for him. And now he and his men are going to kill me. Or the other guy will.” Patrick’s voice wobbles and cracks. I don’t understand what he’s saying, but I know I need to find out why he took me. I was supposed to work with Sir to get the girls back, and now that’s all changed because Patrick took me.

“Please don’t,” I beg again as tears start to roll down my face. Then a thought occurs to me. He’s scared of Aidan. He’s scared of the “Beast of Belfast” that I love. If I can fuel that fear, I might have a chance to save myself. I rub my bound hands against my face and wipe the tears away. “If you do this, he’ll make you regret it.” I hope to instill some fear in him.

“What does that mean?” Patrick sounds panicked, shaken. “He’s going to kill me for just taking you. For touching what is his. Or he’ll have his men kill me. I’m a dead man no matter what happens. I made a deal with a man who doesn’t care who he kills or who he hurts in the process of taking over everything.”

“Killing you is the easy part for him and his men. He’s going to do worse than kill you.”

“What’s worse than death?” He leans down toward me, keeping the barrel of the gun near my neck. He brushes my hair back. My body trembles in fear. “I’m going to die anyway. I should use you like I want before I kill you. You’ve teased me long enough. You gave your virginity to that damn man. I should get something of your body.” I notice he never says Aidan’s name, but I don’t understand who this other man he speaks of is. The most feared man in Belfast is my husband.

I try to hold in the shiver of repulsion. “You kill me or touch me, and he’ll torture you before he kills you. He’ll make you beg for death. He’ll flay the skin from your body before he kills you. I’ve seen him kill before. You won’t even feel the knife slice into you.” I sneer.

He steps away from me, and I watch as his eyes bounce around the room. A fine sheen of sweat appears on his forehead. His hands tremble more, causing the gun to wave around.

“They call him a beast, after all.” I smirk. “Look, Patrick, I need you to take me back. A very bad man has two of my friends and I need to get them back.”

“You mean those two friends.” He points to the side, and I turn and take in the room around me. Moira and Giselle are lying on the floor, both unconscious. Their clothes are disheveled.

“How do you have them? I thought they were taken by someone else?”
