As I move down the block toward him, I want to run to him. I want to throw myself at him, but I have to save him just like he saved me first. My priority is to make both of our lives a bit safer by ending my past. This is for my family and everyone else that Henry and Britain have hurt.

Shane is completely distracted by me and I'm hoping that he doesn't recognize me yet. That could ruin the plan. When he turns to watch Henry after Seamus calls his name, I know this is my only chance. I pull the gun and pray that none of the guards are watching me. When I see Henry's gun raise, I fire the bullet before Shane can get to his and before Henry can fire.

Shane spins around and when he sees me up close everything in him changes. He moves toward me and pulls the gun from my hand. I can't believe I did it.

I took my life back.

He clears it and drops the magazine before he tosses it to Seamus. Then his hands are in my hair and his lips are on mine. When his tongue dances across my lips I open for him. He groans and I moan. I've missed this. The way his kiss consumes everything in me.

When he pulls away, I can see his eyes are shiny, he releases his hold on my head and pulls my sunglasses off.

"Hello husband." I smile at him.

"You can see me?" His voice is gruff and full of emotion.

"Yes."

"Shane," Seamus says from behind him and we turn to see Henry on the ground coughing and hacking up blood. My shot hit him in the throat. I pull away from Shane and move closer to Henry.

"I win. I'm judge and jury this time. You killed my family, eye for an eye." Henry's eyes flare wide when he hears my voice and I watch as his chest seizes and rattles dying.

"Get her out of here, I'll handle the coppers. Take Fi with you," Seamus says as he pulls a tool from his pocket and shoves it into the barrel of the gun running it along the edge.

"I've got the girls," Shane takes my hand in his and drags me across the street where I can make out someone sitting in the back of the SUV. I know it's Fiona.

After he makes sure I'm securely belted into the passenger seat I turn to look back at her. Her jaw drops and she starts to cry.

"Giselle, look at you." I smile at her.

"Yep, it's me." I fluff my hair and preen for her. "Had a bit of work done," I chuckle, and she starts to laugh.

"You've always been beautiful, but you are stunning now." she reaches between the seats, and I take her hand in mine. "I can't believe you killed him. Who was he?"

"He's the man that let my family be murdered and helped the murderer get away."

"That's the father of the man who attacked you?" I nod and Shane takes my hand to put on his thigh as he drives us away from the scene.

He pushes a button on the steering wheel and the phone starts ringing.

"I just heard the chatter. I'll take care of it. Who shot him?" I recognize Lex's voice.

"Giselle," Shane grits out my name and I wonder if he's mad at me. I start to pull my hand from his leg, but he puts his on top of mine to hold it there.

"I wondered if she was going to surprise you," Lex laughs.

"You knew I was here?"

"Yeah, my facial rec gear is good. You didn't change everything about yourself. Means I win the bet between Aidan and I," he continues to laugh as he hangs up.

I turn to look at Shane. "Are you mad at me?"

"Never. I need to feel you touching me, so I know you are real." I can't stop the tears from starting.

A short while later we are pulling onto the compound. He lets Fiona off at the door and I start to get out.

"Stay there wife," he orders me, and I can't hide the smile because I've missed his bossiness.

After he parks the car in the garage he walks around and lets me out. I start to move toward the house, but he pulls me back, turning me before I find myself over his shoulder. My longer hair falls over my face and hangs down as he moves away from the house. I push myself up and look through the mass of hair to see we are moving down the path through the side gate to our house. He doesn't stop until we are standing in our entrance hall. I didn't really get to explore this house and I can't wait to do that soon but first I need to reconnect with my husband on a primal sexual level. He turns and heads for the drawing room. When he sets me down, I steady myself on my heels and twist my long hair to my back so I can see him.
