The kiss went on for a couple of minutes.
All the men stared at them, locked in a rain soaked embrace, and then looked at each other in pure disbelief at what they were all seeing.
Kinsen, Trent, and Jacks looked just as dumbfounded.
In the quiet and the coolness, the couple finally seemed to wake up. Pulling apart as they blinked in confusion, they stared at each other then they stumbled back, parting.
“WHAT. IN. THE. FUCK?” Luther exclaimed.
“Yeah, what he said.” Jacks nodded.
Amira sighed as she looked at Luther and asked tiredly, “What do you want now?”
They all stared at her. She’d acted as if she wasn’t just locked in an embrace with Luther.
She looked down at her wet clothes. “How...?”
Luther saw her confusion and then noted that he too, was wet. He looked over at his men. “What just happened?”
They all stared back at him.
Some shrugged as others slowly shook their heads while looking flabbergasted.
Diesel opened his mouth to explain then he promptly shut it as if he had no idea how to explain it.
“Well?” Luther kept looking around at his men. “Somebody needs to speak up.”
“I heard my grandmother,” Amira said. “She was telling me of the coming.”
Luther turned his head to look at her. “The coming of what?”
She stared at him. “A war...”
Luther tucked his head back. “A war...” He shook his head. “With who?”
She shrugged. “I really don’t know, but...” She looked scared. “...what kind of weapons do you all have?”
Luther blinked at her. “Weapons?”
Amira looked over at her three friends.
They stared back at her while slowly shaking their heads.
Luther looked pissed as he moved into the main room. “Wow, do we have questions, and you seem to have the answers, so we need to talk.”
Amira shook her head. “I’m tired, I’m hungry, and I’m thirsty.” She looked down at herself. “And now, I’m apparently drenched.” She glared back up at him. “Thanks to you dragging me out there to see a monsoon storm.”
The men in the room all looked confused.
Amira went on in an angry rant, “You woke us up before we even had our coffee. And you’ve kept us locked up in those stinky cells most of the day. God almighty, don’t you guys ever clean this dump?”
Luther just raised his eyebrow. “Are you done complaining now?”
“Honey, I haven’t even started yet.” She growled. “I know we weren’t invited onto your land. But the strong point is...YOU dragged us in here. If you would have left us alone, I wouldn’t be in this shape! Sweating all day in a damn cell! Man up and act like a human being.”
He chuckled as he shook his head and tugged his wet shirt from his chest. Looking over at her three friends he asked, “Is she always like this?”
The three men all shook their heads.
