Maddox laughs. “Baby, this is not snow. I’ll have to take you to Boston for winter next year. You would be in for a rude awakening freezing your ass off there.”
Her smile widens at the thought, and she turns to me. “Oh, can we do that, Camden? Please? A white Christmas next year, maybe?”
I laugh at her high-pitched, excited voice. “Yeah, Gray Eyes. We can have a winter wonderland Christmas next year.”
She claps her hands together and I lean forward, kissing the side of her head.
“Should we finish our drinks and head to the slopes?” Jules asks.
Everyone nods in agreement and finishes off what’s in their cups. The park has set up three levels of slopes. There’s the bunny, the intermediate, and the challenger. Each can hold up to ten people in the giant tubes, but the challenger is definitely intimidating. Even I am somewhat nervous since there haven’t been a lot of people on it.
As we stand, Mateo points his finger at each of us. “All right, do we have any pussies who aren’t going to go big on the challenger or are we all tough enough to handle it?”
Most of us cheer with excitement, but Blaire and Emree have concerned looks on their faces. “Isn’t that for like…people who have done it before?” Em asks.
Jules shrugs her shoulders. “I mean, it doesn’t say you have to be experienced. I think it’s more for adventure seekers.”
My girl and her best friend give each other a look that is more of a silent conversation. “You know what, how about we hang at the bottom and take pictures of you adventure seekers,” Blaire tells us.
Walking over, I wrap my arms around her waist. “Oh no, you don’t, Gray Eyes. It’s you and me. We’re in this together. I’m not getting on that slope without you.”
She pats my arm. “Looks like you’ll be down here playing photographer with us then.”
I laugh and kiss her neck. “Come on, baby. Coming here was your idea. You gotta try it at least once.”
She chews on her bottom lip for a while and looks at Emree, who has a pleading look in her eyes. “Well…”
“Are you seriously that gullible?” Emree asks. “He is playing you, Blaire. You can’t fall for his charm and pretty face.”
I can’t help but laugh because Em can see right through any guy’s charm.
“But look at this face,” Blaire says as she squishes my cheeks in one of her hands. “How can I say no to that?”
“Exactly like this.” Emree comes to stand in front of my face that is resting on Blaire’s shoulder. “No.”
We all bust out laughing. Conrad grabs Emree’s hand and pulls her to his side, but not before kissing her.
Leaning in some more, my lips hit Blaire’s ears and she shivers as my breath moves across her skin. “If you go with us, I’ll do that thing with my tongue you like so much. Remember how I had you practically making a bald spot on my head? I’ll do that all night, baby.”
Her breathing quickens and she closes her eyes, remembering our wild night last weekend when Blaire held my head between her legs for what felt like hours. Not that I would ever complain about making my girl feel good in all different kinds of ways.
“Fine,” she says, a little out of breath.
Pulling back, I pump my fist in the air. “Yes! We got Blaire in.”
She stands next to me, her mouth hanging open. “You played me, just like Em said.”
“Aw, baby, I didn’t play you. I still promise to go down on you all night. I swear.”
Her eyes widen as she looks around at our friends, and Maddox bends over at the waist, laughing.
“Oh, Blaire, baby, you poor, poor thing. How hard it must be for you to exchange thrill and adventure for a little downstairs action.”
Her face turns a bright shade of red at his words. Her jaw is clenched as she turns to me. “I’ll kill you.” She grabs Emree’s arm, who has a dreamy look in her eyes after something Conrad whispered in her ear, and together they follow the rest of our group toward the slopes.
I hang back with Conrad as we watch our girls. “What’d you promise Em?”
He laughs. “Told her I’d watch the entire last season ofProject Runwaywith her this weekend.”
