Jess was helpless against this total assault, and a few seconds later, she exploded in a strong, prolonged climax that shook her from head to toe. She muffled her release, burying the teeth in the soft fabric covering her left arm.
Unhurriedly, the man removed his hands from around her and lifted his weight off her body.
Too stunned by the strength of her climax, shocked by her ready acceptance of the atypical circumstances that had led her into that bedroom with him, Jess didn’t move.
She was still lying against the wall a while later, when he left the bathroom, adjusting his clothes. Moving behind her he then cupped her nape, twisted her body around and forced Jess to look at him.
“I believe you can scarcely breathe without me, let alone live a fulfilling existence,” he taunted, before claiming her mouth in a rapacious, possessive kiss that branded her as his, sending straight out of the window all her attempts to purge Reece Hilton out of her system.
So much for full control over your life, she bitterly thought a few moments later, looking at the threshold Reece had just crossed leaving her alone inside the suite. When her eyes traded back to the king-size bed in front of her, Jess felt a hysteric laugh bubble up inside her throat. She’d entered the bedroom convinced she would need to stave off Rob’s attempts to take her to bed, but could’ve spared herself the time to worry. She and Reece hadn’t even grazed the covers.
ChapterFive
“LeeHanne,” Johnny called, walking towards his tall, slim wife with two guests trailing behind him. “Look who’s here.” His voice sounded unnaturally cheerful.
LeeHanne turned around and found herself face to face with Reece. “Hi there. What a wonderful surprise.” She smiled, trying her best to hide her shock and the uneasiness that followed. Jess was in for a whopper of a surprise, and Johnny was a dead man. “I didn’t expect to have you here tonight. Johnny told me you were working.”
“The guy I was supposed to escort decided at the last minute to spend the evening at the hotel, and didn’t need my services.”
“And here you are with Tracy,” LeeHanne stated, turning her attention to the petite brunette beside him.
“Nice to meet you,” Tracy said, offering her hand to LeeHanne. “Thank you for inviting me to your party. You have a beautiful house.”
“Thank you,” LeeHanne said, shaking her hand, exchanging a furtive glance with Johnny, who was uncomfortably shifting his lithe weight from one leg to the other.
Something was the matter, of this, Reece was sure. His instinct never failed him and judging from the Jenkins’ strange behavior, whatever had set them on edge had something to do with him.
“We hope to have a wonderful time,” Tracy volunteered a few seconds later, when Reece’s friends failed to say so themselves.
“You certainly will,” was LeeHanne’s dry comment.
Reece and Tracy had the distinct impression that their hostess had given her answer a double meaning but, out of courtesy, didn’t press the matter.
“Well buddy, you know where everything is. Make yourself at home,” Johnny smiled, slapping Reece companionably on the back, before sending them off towards refreshments.
The couple moved to the wet bar built into one corner of the Jenkins’ living room to fix themselves a drink. Johnny and LeeHanne followed them with their eyes.
“We’re in for a stormy night,” she pronounced as soon as Reece and his date were out of earshot.
“I’ve got my umbrella, how about you?” Johnny joked.
“Very funny,” she returned, but wasn’t smiling.
“Itisfunny,” Reece insisted, letting his hands roam leisurely along the delicate contours of Tracy’s hips. A hungry, predatory light shone in his eyes.
“It is not,” she answered with an unsteady breath.
“Be a good girl and give us a kiss.”
“You are incorrigible.”
“Yep.”
“And shameless.”
“Yep.”
“And–”
