Janie draws in a breath. “I’m sure your Papi won’t pierce anything else right away.”

My eyes bug out. I was thinking about necklaces or bracelets. “Pierce what else?”

They both fidget.

“Other things,” Livy whispers.

I shake my head slowly. I don’t know what other things. I can’t. I’m not worldly enough to know these things.

Janie points between her legs. “Anything.”

Livy sighs. “We’re scaring her.”

I shake my head. “Tell me. I want to know.”

They glance at each other again and then across the room.

I lower my arms finally and lean in closer, grabbing both of their hands. “Just tell me.”

Livy sighs. “Clit, hood, labia, perineum, urethra…”

If my eyes could pop out of my head, they would.

Janie grabs my arm. “Don’t worry. I’m sure your Papi wouldn’t do any of that today.”

My private parts clench. I haven’t even wrapped my mind around the nipple piercings. If Papi tells me he wants to pierce anything else, I think I’ll die.

My tummy feels queasy. I don’t know if I can do this. I don’t know if I can be Little or be on this planet. I’m scared.

“Now that we’ve made you pee yourself, how about if we start over.” Livy sits up taller and holds out a hand. “I’m Livy. This is Janie. Want to do a puzzle with us?”

I offer her a small smile and shake her hand. “I’m Chrissy. I’d love to do a puzzle to keep my mind off whatever Papi has planned next.”

Thirty minutes later, Papi is back. He leans his elbows on the edge of the playpen and smiles at me as I lift my gaze.

I’ve had fun. For the first time in two weeks, I’ve been with other people besides him. They filled me with enough information to make me panic at first, but then they showed me all their toys and dolls and puzzles and games.

“Ready to go, Baby girl?”

I shake my head. “I want to stay and play.”

He chuckles. “I guess I shouldn’t have phrased it that way. It’s time to go, Little one. You can come back and play with your new friends another day. We need to head over to the jeweler now.” He reaches over to lift me from the playpen.

I don’t fight him. It doesn’t seem wise. The last thing I need is to also get spanked. Or maybe that would be a better plan. It would prolong my fate and take my mind off the piercing. It would also hurt though.

Papi chuckles as he kisses my forehead, adjusting me so I’m sitting on his hip. “I see your mind spinning with options. I don’t think you want me to take your diaper off and spank your naughty bottom right here in front of your new friends today, do you?”

I shake my head. “No, Sir.”

“Good girl.”

I wave goodbye to the other women, who I guess are really girls, as Papi carries me from the clinic.

I don’t say a word as he straps me into my car seat, nor do I speak during the short drive to the jeweler’s house. I hold my breath as Papi unfastens me and carries me to the house.

I realize a lot of people who live here must have their businesses attached to their homes. Papi has his woodworking shop attached to his. The doctors have their homes next to the clinic. And now, I see the jeweler does too.

Papi rubs my back as he knocks on the door, and I fight the panic when another enormous man opens it with a smile. “Hi there, Little one,” he greets. He’s so friendly that my nerves ease a bit, but I’m not stupid. This is going to be unpleasant.
