Page 19 of A Dark Duet

When I see her dance, transfixed by how beautiful she moves with the music, I can honestly say I could sit there and watch her forever.

When I saw her with the ballet slippers, my dick was so hard looking at her, making love to the music with her body, unconsciously I was wishing it was me. I have never wanted someone like her. I acted like a total idiot. I will lose her interest if I don’t figure something out quickly.

I keep hitting the bag, exhausted from holding myself back, from wanting to walk in the bedroom and take what I want.

“What the fuck is wrong with me?” I mutter.

I walk out to the kitchen to get a glass of water and I stop when I look at the bag I told her was hers to keep. The dubbed “care package” I give all the girls I fuck, even though technically she denied me from fucking her last night. I wonder what she meant when she said, “Not like this.” Seeing there is a note in front of the bag, I want to kick myself for being a total dick, dismissing her like she was a pest. I pick up the napkin written in her handwriting.

I’m not interested. Leave it for the next girl.

Giselle

I throw the glass of water at the sink, water and shards of glass flying everywhere. I know I’ve fucked up.

Giselle

Iarrive in Sioux Falls and tell Brie everything that happened through tears.

She comforts me by rubbing my back. “Forget about him, Giselle. He doesn’t deserve you. He’s obviously twisted and has some serious baggage,” she says. “You may have lost your parents, but you are dancing and not screwing anyone for money. You agreed because you’re attracted to him and what woman wouldn’t want to spend the night with Nate?”

I need to stop feeling sorry for myself, maybe she’s right. He’s just not for me and probably regrets having me over. It’s probably why he acted the way he did in the morning. It was a mistake.

The week passes by quickly, and then it’s Friday. Brie and I have made plans to go to the football game on Monday. I say, what the heck? It’s not like we’re going with them, it’s just to watch them play.

Anyone would die for those tickets. They are right behind the players at the stadium. I tell Jake about the song he sent me, selecting his mixed version of “Absurd” by Fluke.

Getting ready with the black light glow paint and neon lights, I decide I’m going to complete the look with aTronmovie vibe and wear a white wig, swinging laser beams glowing in the reflection of the mirrors and black lights. I think it will look badass in the vast warehouse of the club.

When the club opens its doors, there’s not an empty seat in the house. Saturdays are getting like that as well. I don’t get to the VIP tables as I need extra time to prepare for my solo and the manager said it was fine. I would mix another song, “Sweet Dreams” by Trinix, making it an entire performance to mix it up here since we have familiar faces.

I look out toward the DJ booth at Jake and he signals to me that he will call me out soon. I scan the crowd and I’m surprised to see Jaden and Nate, waiting for Brie. He hasn’t seen me, and I want to keep it that way.

“Hey girl,” Diamond startles me.

I place my hand over my chest. “Oh my god, Diamond, my heart just jumped out of my chest.”

“Are you nervous about the fighter looking for you?” “What do you mean, looking for me?” I ask.

“Yeah, I overheard him asking Brie for you while his manager is trying to get in Brie’s good graces. She’s giving him the professional server treatment.”

“I’m just nervous as hell and now I just saw Jace and Jason walk in.”

“Here.” She gives me a shot of what appears to be tequila. I drink the shot back, coughing as it lights my throat on fire, giving me liquid courage.

“Thank you, Diamond.”

“Don’t sweat it. You got this. Dance on him, that will get him to chill the fuck out in front of everyone. Let’s see what he does.”

I get ready while the alcohol loosens me up and Jake announces my name. I decide to take her advice and do something crazy. The song by Fluke begins and the neon lights take control while I twirl, and the black lights reflect the glow paint.

I dance behind the pole and the song picks up. Everyone is freaking out because of the lights, making it seem like I’m everywhere. Some start to dance to the beat. I spin the lights, and the paint I’m holding goes down my body, dripping between my breasts, glowing in the dark. Catcalls can be heard as I walk toward Nate and his eyebrow rises as I straddle him and do the same moves I did on his couch. I’m facing him and he looks at me as I grind on his dick through his pants. I’m wearing shiny black boots that give me the advantage of dancing better.

“What are you going to do with that, champ?” a guy shouts to my right as the song switches to “Sweet Dreams.”

Nate’s hands slide down over my body, touching my breasts. I hold his face to my chest, and he looks at me while I slowly slide back down to sit on his lap. The neon paint going everywhere. It’s clear but under the lights, it appears that it spilled all over his arms.

He grabs my chin and lightly kisses me on my lips and the crowd goes wild. I quickly get up and go back to the pole and dance, twirling on it to finish the song, holding in the excitement that I let him kiss me.
