“She’s jeopardizing the mission,” he grinds out.
“No, she’s not. I would be more distracted wondering if she was okay all the time.” Felix is still squaring off against him.
“Fine! Damn it! Anna, pack your shit. You’re coming too. We can no longer live here, and seeing as I can’t get rid of you without losing the rest of my team, we need more space,” Aksel shouts.
I’m frozen in shock for a whole two seconds.
“No.”
Now he’s really directing his anger at me.
“Yes.”
“Why should I?” I demand.
“Because these idiots want you there, so that’s where you’re going to be.”
I don’t love him calling them idiots.
“I’m not leaving my home!”
Felix steps in front of Aksel, blocking us off from each other. He sits down next to me, taking my hand and giving me the sweetest, softest smile.
“Ignore him. Please, Anna, will you come with us? It’ll be better to have more space, but I’ll stay right here with you if I have to.”
“Ditto,” Griffyn adds.
When Blaze nods, I know I’ve lost. At least it wasn’t Akshole who convinced me.
“Fine,” I relent, rubbing my temples. They’re giving me a headache.
Felix’s resulting smile is perfect. It shines like the sun and shows off his perfect teeth.
“I’ll help you pack.” He grabs my hand, tugging me up and over to my dresser.
It’s pretty cute.

The house is a little off campus and fairly big. I have no idea how he found it on such short notice, but I guess it is summer on a college campus.
The white paint reflects the sun, making the forest–green front door stand out. The windows even have shutters on them. I doubt they actually work, but it’s adorable.
It doesn’t look like a college kid’s house. It’s actually nice.
Felix tugs me out of the car by my hand and up the front steps before I can grab anything.
“My bag!” I say, laughing at his enthusiasm.
“I’m sure one of them will grab it,” he tells me.
Aksel stalks past us, opening the door with a key from his pocket.
We follow him inside. It smells like lemon polish and an array of cleaners. There’s simple furniture sitting around. Basic but a lot bigger than my studio apartment.
Griffyn comes up behind us with two bags. Surprisingly, it’s his and mine. I can’t help a light blush forming at his thoughtfulness. He smirks at me.
“And where is mine?” Aksel asks, raising an eyebrow.
