After a few more seconds of catching my breath, I try to start moving again, but I can’t help but wince. I’m already in the normal amount of end-of-day pain, and this position exacerbates the ache in my knees after a while.
The look of satisfaction disappears from Dom’s face. “Is this hurting you?”
“Yeah, but—”
The rest of my sentence is lost as Dom scooches down and rolls us so he’s on top of me, propped up on his elbows. I groan in relief, relaxing into the mattress.
“That feels a lot better.”
“Please say something next time. Fuck.” His forehead meets mine as he tangles his fingers in my hair. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
I’m about to protest, but I stop myself.Let him care.“Yeah. I will.”
He drops a kiss to the tip of my nose, relaxing some. “You ready for more?”
“Definitely,” I whisper.
He starts off slow and gentle, nuzzling his face in the crook of my neck, and I wonder if he’s trying to stop himself from coming. I clench around him, and he groans, pulling away to glare at me.
“Don’t do that again.”
“Fine. I’ll do this instead.” I kiss his neck, dragging my lips downward to his shoulder, and sink my teeth into his skin. I don’t bite hard enough to draw blood, but it’s enough that he’ll feel it.
He grunts. “I should’ve expected that.”
“Don’t know why you didn’t.”
His body shakes with silent laughter, and he picks up his pace, going a similar tempo to the one he did yesterday. “Are you going to make a habit of biting me?”
“Only if you bite me.” As I say it, I wrap my legs around his waist. And I can’t help it—I clench again, smiling into his neck when he groans.
“You’re going to be the death of me, woman.”
With my hands in his hair, I move my hips to meet each of his thrusts. “This is a pretty good way to go,” I whisper.
“Jade.Jade.” His head drops to my shoulder as a deep shudder rolls through him. Every muscle in his body goes rigid as he comes, slowly pumping into me a few more times. “Fuck.”
He manages to hold himself up for a couple seconds before he collapses onto me. I grunt under his weight, but I don’t try to push him off of me.
Because that means we’re done.
And that means he’ll leave.
He must be thinking the same thing. Snaking his arms underneath me, he holds me to him as he rolls over so I’m lying on top of him.
“That was amazing,” he murmurs.
I nod before resting my head against his chest. His heart is thumping wildly, and a deep contentment fills me at the sound.I’m the reason for that.
For a few minutes, we stay exactly like that. He runs his fingers up and down my spine, just like he did in my dreams, and the soothing sensations lull me into a light sleep. I’m still partially awake, or at least I think I am, because I’m still aware of him breathing steadily underneath me.
“Jade,” he whispers.
I moan. “Too comfy.”
Please don’t go.
Gently, like I’m a tiny animal he’s afraid of hurting if he’s too rough, he rolls me onto my side. When I feel the soft material of my blankets settling over my body, I blink my eyes open.
