“Come with me,” he whispered, and I gladly joined him while my leery father and brothers looked on cautiously. Leading me to the fountain, where everyone was now staring because of the blue lights that gave it a luminous glow, he pulled my waist close to him. His hand cupped my cheek as he gave me a quick kiss before turning his head to the crowd.

“To the entire Golden Light Kingdom, the Cerulean Moon Kingdom, as well as Atlanteans, I welcome you to our celebration of a dawn of a new time in this land. We celebrate the reformation of a new Court and Parliament. Not only that, but the official declaration of your new Queen.” My heart fluttered as all eyes were on both of us.

“Melina is the Princess of the Atlantean King, Girard the Second, and sister to her thirteen older brothers. She is my true mate, my destined, and your Queen. Please welcome her as we will do so formally during our royal binding ceremony in two weeks’ time,” Osirus announced proudly as he held me close.

Bending forward and his lips touching my ear, he whispered, “We may have our formal binding ceremony in front of our people, but I will mark and mate you before then,” he spoke huskily into my ear. I could feel my core tighten at the anticipation as I gripped onto his tunic tightly with my fingers. Then, feeling another presence behind me, I looked up to my father. His eyes were looking to Osirus’s as to challenge him, but Osirus only held out his hand in truce.

My father’s eyes softened as I continued to hold Osirus close to me, and a small smirk played on his lips. He nodded his head, and I gripped Osirus’s hand tightly as the room erupted in cheers. Tulip came up behind me, pulled me to her, and squeezed me securely. “Now, let’s go get you drunk, Princess!” Osirus laughed as Tulip pulled me away from the two most important men of my life as I headed to the refreshments table.

“Tulip, I’ve never done this before before,” I muttered as the music picked up.

“Exactly, so we are going to get you wasty-faced!” Tulip held up a few small glasses of purple liquid and put them to my lips. “Drink this. It tastes like grape Jolly Ranchers.” I sniffed it a few times and downed two of the small glasses. I coughed a few times, and the surrounding men started laughing.

“Easy there, Your Highness, or you won’t last an hour.” Finley stepped up and bowed.

“Finley!” I screamed and gave him a hug. “I’m so glad you are all right! I was worried about you and your brothers!”

“Do you doubt our fighting, dearest one?” I laughed as Tulip shoved another glass of lime green juice into my hand. Without thinking, I downed it quickly, only to cough violently after.

“Yuck, what was that, Tulip?” Finley and Tulip continued to have me try drinks until I had to go to the bathroom. The room was moving under my feet, and I frequently had to stop and check my surroundings. Once I felt steady, I continued walking to the bathroom, giggling and muttering that I needed to stop.

Osirus kept stealing glances at me as I did him. He was talking to my father, no doubt planning the ceremony at the end of the month, and my brothers continued to watch my every move. Once they saw where I was going, their eyes left me, and I stepped into the bathroom. Lucky for me, my hair and makeup were still in one piece, and I didn’t look like a total tramp.

After a double-check in the mirror before I left, I felt heavy breathing on my neck. It was warm, but it gave me everything but a warm feeling. Turning around quickly, I saw nothing but an empty bathroom. I could still feel the eyes on me. It raked over my entire body, from my face, to my breasts and even down my legs. A cold draft passed through the room until I decided I needed to leave. No one was here. It was just the alcohol.

Leaving the restroom, the feeling of being watched had left me, but my mind was still unsettled. Walking back out, much soberer than I was before I entered the bathroom, I saw Osirus with a glass in his hand, all alone. My mood quickly improved, and I sauntered over to him, swaying my hips. Osirus licked his lips, grinning mischievously after he took one last sip of his beverage and started toward me as well.

“Well, hello, handsome,” I said with a lower, more sultry voice. Osirus smirked and gave me a wink. “I don’t think we’ve met before. My name is Melina. I’m a princess, you know,” I said playfully.

“I have not met such a stunning woman before, let alone a princess. May I ask what has blessed me with your appearance?”

“You looked so lonely,” I whined lightly as I trailed my index finger down his chest. “Such a sexy fae as yourself shouldn’t be alone for the evening. You looked so”—I paused—“vulnerable standing here by yourself.” Osirus let out a chuckle. He knew I had too much.

“Then will you do me the honor of dancing with me and healing my lonely heart?” I smirked and sassily put my hand in his as he led me to the dance floor.

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Melina

Osirusledmetothe dance floor, and the alcohol gave me the courage to follow him as the beat of the music picked up around us. The only person who has seen me dance was Tulip, who said I had serious moves but coming from your best friend, that meant little to me. I just prayed to the Goddess that I had rhythm as I walked through the crowd of future subjects.

As the song played, Osirus turned me around and made sure his member was right on my butt as he felt the sides of my body. Hands were roaming all over me while I put my hands on his, touching every inch of him. His passionate touches had me panting as we continued to grind against each other. The sexual tension between the both of us was unmistakable.

All day, we had teased and taunted each other, and with my brothers and father interrupting all our passionate kisses, we were delirious for some alone time. It was like fate trying to impede what we both truly wanted, and that was our skin on each other.

Osirus knew I didn’t want to mate with my father in the same palace as me. Even though I’ve known him for a day, I just couldn’t stomach it since he saw me as his little Princess. However, right now, this little Princess was getting hot and bothered. I wanted Osirus to talk dirty to me like the previous night, and it made me ache to want to listen to those filthy words from his mouth.

Turning around, I threw my arms around his neck as his hands went straight for my butt, which he had a huge fascination with. I didn’t see all the hype, but I liked the way he massaged and kneaded it while pushing my pelvis into his growing erection and kept inching close and closer to my kitty spot.

Sweat had formed, and Osirus’s tunic had become wet. The fevered bodies on the floor didn’t help the situation. Couples were groping each other, and more than just a bit of pleasure going as far as orgasming on the floor.

Osirus dipped his mouth to my neck, and I moaned as he let soft licks and kisses trail up to my ear. Gripping his barely dry tunic, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

Tulip stood there with Alec by her side, holding up a glass. “Thought you might need a refreshment?” she winked, and I took it, downing the burn in one gulp.

Osirus nodded at Alec in thanks while Tulip whispered to Osirus, “You will thank me later.” Osirus raised a brow. Still, with his enormous member riding along my pelvis, he quickly ignored it and kissed me with his lustful hunger.

The dancing went on, and our hands roamed each other’s bodies until Osirus suggested we take a break. I whined a bit, but that only got me a slight tap on my rear end.
