When I join her, she stands right under the spray, smiling brightly. The excitement on her face is adorable. I take a few steps forward so our bodies are close, and join her under the water.

Alana wraps her arms around my neck and kisses me softly. When we part, she turns her back to me. I slip my arms around her from behind, pulling her back to my chest and kiss her shoulders.

“I really do love you, Alana. I have never fallen so quickly for anyone in my entire life or trusted anyone the way I do you. You have turned my world upside down in the best way possible. You are the only person with whom I have ever let myself be vulnerable,” I whisper as I circle my fingers on her hips.

Alana sighs, leaning into me. “I love you too, Ezra. No one has ever taken care of me like you do or even loved me. I believed I wasn’t worthy of being loved for a long time, and then you showed up, changing everything in the blink of an eye.”

She turns to face me, and the way she looks at me is different. I can see the love in her eyes. Maybe it was there before now, but I only just noticed it. God, she is so damn beautiful and alluring. I smile, pushing her wet hair away from her face.

“You are worth it, angel. You deserve the world, and I want to be the one to give it to you.”

“Ezra, you have already given me everything I need,” she says, capturing my lips with hers.

I hold her close, happily kissing back. We part after a minute, and I rest my forehead against hers. “I promise we can start our lives together once everything is sorted.” I am ready to start it, but I need to fix everything else in my life first because I don’t want anything to get in our way when it does happen.

“I look forward to it, my love,” she coos, kissing my cheek.

We get to showering, making it a quick one. If we stay in here too long we will become distracted. I hate how I can’t stay longer or for the night. I will make it up to her on Sunday, and come Monday we can see each other more since we will be working together.

“Are you sure you can’t stay a little longer?”

Alana is standing against the frame of her front door, wearing only my tee and panties, pouting at me.

I sigh, wishing I could give her a different answer. “Trust me, bright eyes, it is tempting, but I can’t.”

I was supposed to leave half an hour ago, but I became distracted by Alana’s lips and naked body.

She rolls her eyes. “Yeah, yeah.” Sarcasm drips with each word.

I grab the tee, bringing her body to mine and kiss her roughly. “I will text you later,” I mumble into her lips.

Alana pulls back from the kiss. “You better, Mr.,” she says, swatting my ass.

“I will. Now, please get your ass back inside. I don’t want anyone to see my girl dressed like this. This look is for me only!” I exclaim, slapping her thigh.

She stands up straight, saluting me. “Yes, sir.”

She is mocking me. I raise my brow at her, and in return, she smiles innocently, batting her lashes at me. “I love you, beautiful. Now, get your sweet ass into the apartment.”

Alana giggles, pecking my lips. “I love you too.”

She heads back inside, waving me off. I hear her close the front door only when I am out of view. I leave her apartment building and sigh. I want nothing more than to turn around and go back inside to be with her. I hesitantly stroll to my car, climb in and head for home.

I get lost in my thoughts. The following two nights are going to be hell! I won’t be able to talk to Alana much because Bella will be around. I put some music on to break the silence in my car.

When I arrive home, I see Bella’s car in my driveway. I pull in and sit in my car for ten minutes. I take a couple of deep breaths, massaging my temples, and exit my vehicle, strolling into my place.

“Bella?” I call out.

“Living room, babe,” she calls back.

I sigh, slowly making my way to her. She is sitting on my sofa, drinking a glass of wine. She smiles brightly, standing to come and greet me. She kisses me softly, but thankfully it only lasts a moment.

“Do you want a glass of wine?” she asks. I nod. She already had a glass set out for me and pours me one. I thank her for my drink as I take a seat next to her.

Bella turns to face me. “I thought you would have been back before now?”
