Rose walks away, and I watch her with a smile. She accepted my friends and even liked them. This is new for me. Everyone has always said they are too much to handle. The guys tend to be rowdy, and their humor differs from everyone else.

“You do love her, don't you?” Matty asks while sipping on his drink.

“With everything inside of me. I would destroy worlds for her.” I tell them with a strong, passionate voice.

“See! That's what I want!” Matty smacks Trigger's arm with excitement.

“It isn't going to happen, brother. She is one in a million.” Trigger rubs his hand over his face. I know what he is thinking about, or should I say who he is thinking about.

“I never thought she even existed, and here she is. They are out there. Give it time, and you will find her.” I say with a genuine voice. “I know it will happen for you both.”

“I need to find my lobster.” Matty looks down, and I look at him. He did not just say what I think he did.

“Did you say your fucking lobster?” Trigger turns his head, glaring at Matty with a what the fuck look.

“I swear to god if you are quoting what I think you are….” I run my hand down my face. How this man has ever gotten laid is beyond me.

“I love the show, man. What can I say?” He shrugs his shoulders, not at all disturbed by his own words.

“I’m so fucking lost. Will someone clue me in here?” Trigger raises an eyebrow in question. He will smack the shit out of Matty once he finds out.

“The fucking show, Friends.” I say as I shake my head.

Trigger smacks the back of Matty's head. “You watch that shit?”

“Not shit, excellent tv. Reese knew it, so he watched it too.” Matty says, rubbing the back of his head.

“Rose made me watch it with her.” I lean closer to them as I put my hands on the table. “Every. Single. Episode.”

“And it's a fucking amazing show!” Matty shouts, trying to get his point across. If there is one thing about Matty, he will make sure everyone knows when he is passionate about something.

“I'm not saying it's a bad show, but I wouldn't call people a lobster.” I make my point by crossing my arms over my chest.

“Yeah, I can't see that going over well.” Trigger laughs as he speaks. He will never understand this, but that makes it even more entertaining.

My phone buzzes interrupting our conversation. I take it in my hand to see a text from Rose. “Well, it looks like I need to get ready. I’ll talk to you boys later. You know how to reach me if you need me.”

They both nod before standing up and walking to the door to leave. I get up and get ready. My nerves are shaking inside. I know why her mom wanted to go to dinner because I am the one who set this up. I want to ask her to marry me tonight. I want to save time in between when I know who I want in my life.

- Rose -

I took a shower before I started to get ready. I have to take my time with everything not to hurt myself. I walk out of the bathroom and see the most handsome man in the world standing in front of me. I don't think I will ever understand why he chose me, but I will always be grateful for his choice.

I greet him as usual, and he replies by calling me a Goddess. My body goes weak every time, which never goes unnoticed by him. He wraps his arms around me in a tight embrace and whispers the word in my ear seductively. I moan with need as he kisses the crook of my neck. My body shakes with desperation, and he pulls away before ravaging my lips with his.

“Do we have to go? I can think of better things to do.” I shimmy my body in his arms and wink at him. He laughs out loud while nodding.

“You, my beautiful woman, are still healing.” He kisses my forehead softly. “We already agreed to dinner, so we are going.” His soft lips move against my skin, causing a fiery explosion in my body.

“Fine…” I roll my eyes playfully. “But this isn’t done here.” I motion my finger between the two of us.

“It never will be, baby, but you must be healed. I won't take the risk of hurting you.” He caresses the small of my back with one of his hands.

“I know, but I need you so badly.” I pout to him, pushing my bottom lip out.

“I know, baby. I need you just as badly.” He takes a deep breath and presses his forehead against mine.

“Let’s go before I change my mind and end up back in the hospital.” I close my eyes, calming the fire inside. It will never extinguish, and I'm okay with that.
