“Planning a road trip?” I ask him. As our Road Captain, Hawk plans all of our rides, business and pleasure. “We haven’t gone on a club ride in a long time.”
“I’m looking at the map of the airfield where those assholes held you and Hunter.” Hawk says.
“Why?”
“It’s for sale.” He says. “It’s a nice bit of land. We could do something with it.”
“Like what?” I ask, leaning over to look at the map. It’s a satellite view of the area.
“I was thinking about a motorbike track or motorcycle training course.” Hawk replies. He glances over at Sterling, who is still talking with Claudia. “Since I don’t have to plan the drug runs, I was thinking of a business that could bring more money into the club. We could sell bikes and customize them. What do you think?”
“That’s a good idea.” I tell him. I know several of our guys like to work on their bikes and having a shop would bring in good money. Hawk trains all our new recruits, if they don’t already know how to ride. He’d be great at training wannabes. And he’s right, he still has tasks he needs to do for the club, but our moving out of the illegal drug trade leaves him with more time on his hands. This would fill it.
“Might find new recruits that way.” Dice says. “Guys learning to ride or working in the garage.”
“Or gals.” I correct with a grin.
Dice nods and chuckles. “Or gals. Speaking of which, when are we patching in Showtime?”
“Should be soon.” I say, glancing around for Puma.
“Chill.” Smooth calls out from behind the bar. “Showtime’s on the phone. We have a guest at the gates.”
Frowning, I step over and take the phone from him. “Who is it?”
“She’s Claudia’s granddaughter, Avery Bowen. She’s worried about her grandmother.”
“Send her through. I’ll meet her. Wait.” I add when Puma comes up to me.
“Is that Showtime?” He asks and I nod. “Tell her to shut and lock the gates and come to the clubhouse.”
“Will do. Claudia’s granddaughter just arrived looking for her grandmother. I told Showtime to let her through.” I tell Puma.
Puma nods, glancing at Claudia, who is shaking Sterling’s hand. “They’re finishing up, so it’s good timing. I’ll let her know her granddaughter is here.”
I relay the order to Showtime before stepping outside to greet our visitor. Dice comes along with me. “What are you doing?” I ask him.
He shrugs. “Claudia’s hot for an older woman. Maybe her granddaughter takes after her. If she does, I want first dibs.”
I shake my head at him but watch as the black Toyota 4Runner parks next to Sterling’s vehicle. I see the driver glance at the car and then over at us. The sun is setting behind her so neither of us can make out her features, but she can certainly see us. When she steps outside and slams the door shut, I hear Dice let out a whoosh of breath and I have to say; I don’t blame him. The chick is hot. She probably has a couple inches on me, which would put her at about 5’ 8”. Her long, lithe body looks strong in jeans that snug every curve. The tank top shows off her toned arms. Her long, brown hair flashes gold in the lights, swings behind her. Dice lets out a noise that’s part growl and part whimper when her tits lift up as as she reaches back to pull her hair up in a ponytail. He’s practically panting After sliding on a baseball cap, she walks toward us.
I give Dice a disgusted look before extending my hand. “I’m Chill. SOA of the Demon Dawgs. This is my Enforcer, Dice.” I say in way of an introduction.
“I’m Avery.” She replies, shaking my hand. She smirks at Dice, who is too busy eye-fucking her to notice her outstretched hand.
“Don’t mind him, he hasn’t been house-trained yet.” I say, getting a laugh out of Avery and a glare from Dice. “What? You’re the one acting like you’ve never met a woman before.”
He drops the scowl when he takes Avery’s hand to shake it. “I’ve just never met such a gorgeous woman before.” He replies as Showtime walks up to us.
“Smooth.” The three of us say at the same time.
“He’s inside and he can’t have her. I saw her first.” Dice says, smirking at me and Showtime.
Avery frowns and draws her hand back. “I’m not a prize. I’m here to see if you know anything about my grandmother, Claudia Bowen. She mentioned meeting your club President, Puma? And that he told her she could call if she ran into any problems. I’m worried about her…”
I hold up my hand to stop her. Avery stiffens, but waits for me to speak. “She came to us when she thought someone was following her. She was asking around the apartment complex about loan sharks and she thinks the man who killed her neighbor found out.”
“Nicole?” she asks, and I nod. “Nicole’s husband is part of our club. He’s inside with his son Slade.”
