Like a puzzle.

All different shapes and sizes slotting together to make perfection.

Need someone to give it to you straight? Talk to Belle and Wills.

In need of a cuddle and sweet words? Sadie and Evelyn to the rescue.

Some cheeky fun with a bit of gossip on the side. Marco’s your man.

And my favorite, Jackson.

He’s your guy for a good laugh, yet what I loved most about him, and honestly, all the men, is that they are all fiercely protective of the women in the group.

It starts raining, and we have no umbrellas. I’m dressed entirely inappropriately, and I couldn’t care less. I whirl around, letting the water run down my face, happy as can be. Tonight was good. I felt like myself again, free to do whatever I wanted.

“Let’s call for the car, angel.”

I smile and shake my head. “No, dance with me in the rain,” I sing, stretching out my arm, waiting for our hands to connect.

He doesn’t make me wait long. He wouldn’t.

Declan takes my hand and spins me around in the rain, dancing and living in the moment with me. He lifts my arm and does one last twirl, pulls me into his chest, then dips me low to the ground claiming my lips, and I freely give myself to the passion of his kiss.

Never wanting to stop.

“We’re home. Can you take like ten steps back? I can practically feel your breath on me,” I say to Max, Danny, and Brody. Jameson is always in front, so he doesn’t get blamed today.

“Nope,” Danny deadpans.

“Ugh, I thought you were one of the ones I like,” I kid, and he winks.

We step inside, and both Declan and I stop dead in our tracks, causing Danny to hit into the back of me.

“Oh fuck,” he whisper laughs.

“Will you shut up!” I elbow him, and he snickers again.

In front of us sits Penny and Ethan on the couch, sitting mighty close together for two in the morning.

“A word,” Declan demands to Ethan in his I’m not fecking around voice. Ethan clenches his jaw but nods and gets up. Ethan is not someone who looks like he takes directions easily, so I have a feeling that Declan making demands in front of Penny, me, and his employees won’t go over well.

Before Declan walks over to him, he pulls me aside, and I can see his eyes have changed. Long gone the romantic who danced with me in the rain. In front of me is my dominant lover.

He cups the back of my neck and pulls my body into his. Holding my stare, unblinking for a second. I can’t help myself. I bite my lip in anticipation.

This side of Declan sometimes still surprises me, so I never know what to expect.

“Are you ready for me tonight, angel?” I shake my head vigorously in excitement, and he can’t hold back his chuckle at my enthusiasm.

“Good.” He leans down and presses his lips to mine. His kiss is surprisingly gentle, except I surmise that may be because of the audience around us.

He lowers his voice for only me to hear, “I want you to walk upstairs to our bedroom, take off his excuse of a dress, and lie naked and willing until I’m ready. I want you to think about how I’m going to touch, tease, and pleasure you,” he growls.

“I want you so turned on that when I find you, you’re dripping wet.” He bites my ear. “Do you understand?”

I nod, and he bites my ear harder.
