Dad came over with a bottle of water. He whispered, “are you okay?”

“Yes,I’ll explain later, but I really do need something to drink. Thank you, dad,” I whispered as he gave my arm a gentle squeeze. I looked over at Drake who was intently looking at me with concern. I motioned to Alpha Bennett I was ready to proceed.

Introducing Alpha Elias. Alpha Elias confidently walked over to me and handed me a red rose. I extended my right hand for him. Without taking his eyes off of me, he kissed the back of my hand while bowing to me. “It’s an honor to meet you Breonna. I can’t wait to get to know you better,” he cooed as he maintained eye contact with me. He did not relinquish my hand, nor did he step away. He stood there looking into my eyes with his forest, green eyes. They were simply beautiful. I felt an immediate connection to him just like I did with Drake. He finally let go of my hand when an ‘Ahem’ was heard from my dad. Only then did he turn and walk to his chair.

Introducing Alpha Ethan. Alpha Ethan walked over and presented the red rose. He bowed rather quickly and kissed my cheek. He shyly said, “it’s a pleasure to meet you Breonna.” He practically ran to his chair. I noticed Tom was in the back of the room trying his best not to burst out laughing.

Introducing Alpha Axel. Alpha Axel ambled up to me like he would a bar. He swung the rose towards me and said, “howdy ma’am. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.” With that, he turned and walked to his seat. I turned and looked at my father who was trying desperately to stifle a chuckle.

Introducing Alpha Levi. Alpha Levi was a very tall person. He walked over to me in two quick strides. His voice certainly caught me off guard. I was expecting a deep voice, not a high-pitched voice. Wow. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Breonna,” he screeched in his high-pitched voice. It took everything in my power not to laugh myself.

Introducing Alpha Eric. Alpha Eric was a man known for his bravery and love of his people. He was kind of cute, but I guess not to me. He had beautiful chestnut brown eyes. He bowed to me, and I held out my hand for him. He kissed my hand and said, “it’s a pleasure to meet you Breonna.” He turned and walked to his chair.

Introducing Alpha Lorenzo. Alpha Lorenzo walked confidently over to me with a megawatt smile. I swear his smile should be against the law. It was enough to make a girl melt. He handed me a red rose and I extended my hand to him. He took my hand and twirled me toward him until I my back was against his chest. Smooth, real smooth. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Bree. I’m looking forward to getting to know you a little bit better. I’m looking forward to dancing with you tonight as well,” he stated as he twirled me back into my original position and kissed my hand. He winked at me before he turned and walked over to his chair. Wow!

Alpha Bennet announced, “Alright now that we have met all the Alphas. We need to go over the rules of the ‘game.’ Here they are. Tonight, Alphas, you will not be an Alpha. You will be like a regular pack member.”

“What do you mean, I will not be an Alpha tonight? I am an Alpha. I will be treated as such,” demanded Alpha Axel.

“Then, you need to leave Alpha Axel.You need to go and move on. If you wish to date Breonna, you have to agree just like everyone else,” Alpha Bennett explained.

“I will not be treated like this! I’m out of here. See you later sweetheart.I’m sorry, you’re cute and everything, but I’m not giving up my title for you,” Alpha Axel bellowed as he stomped out of the banquet hall.

“Anyone else want to join him,” Alpha Bennett asked the other Alphas. “Now, where was I? My pack members will talk with you, ask you questions, get to know you, and advise Breonna who she should or should not date. She will be choosing five of you by the end of the evening, technically four of you since she has already agreed to date Alpha Drake. Four more will be joining him tonight in the hopes of winning Breonna’s heart. At the end of the night, Breonna will make her selections. These selections will be final. After tonight, you need to move on to another female on the list. Am I clear gentlemen?” The remaining Alphas shook their heads yes. “Good, now, since Breonna has just met you. You will need to wear name tags. These name tags will also be useful for my pack members when they are talking to you and when they use their phones to vote for their favorite Alphas. The first dance will be between Breonna and Alpha Drake. Oh, I’m sorry, Breonna and Drake, I forgot no alpha tonight. Gentlemen, you may start mingling with the pack members while you wait your turn to dance with Breonna.”

Before I knew it, Drake was in front of me. “Bree, may I have this dance?” he asked me as the song,I Can Love You Like Thatby John Michael Montgomery started to play.

“Yes, you may,” I said as we stepped on to the dance floor that was now cleared of chairs.

We started dancing to the song.Then, he started singing the song to me. Swoon. My heart was already melting now I know it was in a puddle. He had a deep baritone voice. He sang the song to me and only me. When the song ended, he kissed me soundly before escorting me back to my chair and bowing once again to me. He thanked me for the dance as he sat down next to me.

“I don’t think you’re supposed to sit next to me Drake. I think you’re supposed to mingle with the pack so they can get to know you,” I reminded him with a silly smile on my face.

“I just wanted to hold your hand a little while longer. So, sue me. I missed seeing you today,” he said as he played with my right hand.

“You just like touching me is all,” I declared as I removed my hand and cupped his cheek with it while smiling up at him.

“You’re damn right I do,” he answered honestly before we were interrupted by Lorenzo asking me to dance to the next song.

“Yes, you may have the next dance. Not this one, alright,” I explained as I watched him take a seat on my left.

“I can wait for the next song. What song do you want to dance to. I can make a request,”he inquired.

“Why don’t you surprise me,” I replied as I watched him get up with a smirk on his face.

“I believe I will,” he stated as he walked over to the DJ to request his song.

Drake lifted his eyebrow at me as I chuckled at his enthusiasm. We both stared at him as he returned to his seat to the left of me with a huge grin on his face. This was going to be an interesting evening if this keeps up. As the song was ending, Lorenzo stood and extended his hand towards me.

“Bree, may I have this dance,” has asked as he bowed towards me.

“I believeit is your turn, yes,” I replied as he pulled my chair out for me and took my hand. Lorenzo led us to the dance floor. I stopped when the songI Cross My Heartby George Strait began to play. What in the world. Is this going to be a battle of songs tonight to get my attention? He’s lucky I know how to two step.

“You dance quite lovely Bree. Who taught you?”Lorenzo inquired as we danced around the room.

“My dad taught mewhen I was growing up. He said it would come in handy when I was older. He made sure I knew all kinds of dances,” I explained to him as I noticed his light blue eyes. He was a handsome man with long lashes around his light blue eyes. A semi straight nose, a megawatt smile that’s sure to light up any room and a square jaw. He was handsome. Why he was still unattached was a mystery.

“I bet you’re wondering why I’m still unmated, hmm?” Lorenzo asked me as we continued to dance.
