I watched as he got into his SUV and pulled away.I made sure he was safely away before turning to my dad and asking what was up.

“Okay, what’s up? Royce is like 4 years old.Why the rouse?” I demanded as I walked toward dad from the foyer.

“Well, you seemed to be moving really fast for just meeting him. We don’t know a lot about him yet. What are you going to do about the tournament?” dad questioned me.

“Really dad? I made a commitment to Alpha Bennett. I always uphold my commitments, don’t I?” I snapped suddenly angry. I stalked off towards our suite. I ran up the stairs to the suiteand slammed the door. I locked my bedroom door and threw myself on the bed. I couldn’t believe what my dad just did. Did he really just stop me from being with my mate because he didn’t know him very well. I was getting to know him. Well, I wasgetting to know him intimately. Ugh, I hate it when people interfere with me getting to know other people.

Dad came and knocked on my door. He said he was sorry for what he did, through the door. I didn’t answer him or the door. I gave him the silent treatment. He finally gave up and went to bed, I guess. I didn’t sleep very well that night. I didn’t look at my phone, but I did charge it. It pinged several times. I know dad must have sent a message or two offering his apologies. Andy probably sent a message or two himself, but I would explain things to him tomorrow. I just didn’t want to talk to anyone at the moment. I felt betrayed and pissed!

I showed up to training the next morning looking like hell.I didn’t speak to my father or brother. People were giving my looks and were whispering. I had enough of the looks and whispering. “What?! What is all the whispering and looks about?” I demanded looking around to everyone gathered for training.

One brave soul spoke up, “We heard you found your mate last night. Does that mean you’re leaving us and joining their pack, especially for the tournament?”

“I made a commitment to Alpha Bennett to not only participate but to train those who will participate in the tournament. I will honor that commitment. I honor all my commitments!” I growled as my body began to shake.

“Yes, you do Bree. You always honor your commitments,” Alpha Bennett answered from behind me.

“Alpha,I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you,” I said as I bowed respectfully toward him.

“It’s alright.I’m sorry that we questioned your loyalty to the pack. We should have known that you would honor your commitment. Now that it is settled, let’s get back to training, shall we?” Alpha Bennett announced to everyone present.

“Yes, alpha!” everyoneanswered as one.

“Bree, after training, I want you, your dad, and Tom to meet with me in my office at 9:30. Alright?” Alpha Bennett inquired.

“Yes, alpha. I can be there. I’m suremy dad and Tom can be there as well,” I offered as I started to look for them.

I found them standing off to the side and they both nodded in response to the question.Thankfully, training went off without a hitch. I was able to get cleaned up and have breakfast before my dad or Tom asked me any questions. After I was dressed, I looked at my phone to see who sent me text messages. I was right. Dad sent me three messages. All saying something like, “I’m sorry for running him off and questioning you like that. I shouldn’t have done that. Please forgive me.” I had two messages from Andy.

Andy: Hi beautiful. I miss you already.

I got home and I miss having you

Beside me. I liked kissing you and

Holding you. We really need to talk

About you coming to live with me.

I can’t wait to talk with you tomorrow

About our future. Goodnight, my love.

Andy: Good morningmy love. I hope you have

A wonderful day. I hope training goes

Well. I can’t wait to talk to you. My alpha

Heard I found you and wants to talk to

Me about you right after training today.

Wish me luck. I’ll call you soon. Love you.

Miss you. I can’t wait to kiss you again.

Wow. I liked his messages. So, his alpha wants to talk to him too. Hmm.I wonder about what? I mean I understand why my alpha would be concerned. I mean, I’m the one that would be leaving to join him at his pack not the other way around.
