“Well, I’m not sure when I’ll tell him.I know I have to tell him soon because if I continue to have morning sickness, he will catch on. I don’t want him angry that I didn’t tell him,” I sighed as I contemplated how I was going to tell him.
“I remember when I told Edward I was pregnant. He was over the moonhappy. I remember he announced it to everyone within five minutes. Then, he showed me how happy and excited he was,” Angela chuckled as she remembered her pregnancy.
“I remember that,” Aunt Yvonneannounced. “Edward was on cloud nine and very protective of you for the entire pregnancy. You were one spoiled she-wolf by the time Andy was born,” Aunt Yvonne explained.
We all continued to talk and eat for a while, but then it came time for me to return home. I made them promise not to tell a soul until Drake and I announced it. I said my goodbyes and left. I needed to think of a way to tell Drake that I was pregnant. I tried to read my book on the way home, but I kept reading the same line over and over again. I finally shut the book and put it off to the side. I reclined the seat and tried to rest.
When we pulled up to the pack house, Drake was waiting for us outside. He was talking to a few people, but then he came over to my vehicle. He opened my door and had a huge smile on his face.
“Good evening, my love. How was your day?” Drake questioned me with a worried look on his face.
“Hello, my love. It was good. I enjoyed spending time with my aunts and Angela. How was your day?” I inquired as he helped me out of the vehicle.
“I missed you.I wanted to hold and kiss you, but you weren’t with me,” he pouted before he crushed his lips to mine in a lust-filled kiss.
When we parted from our kiss. I replied, “I’m here now.I promise tonight we can kiss and hold each other, okay?”
“Okay,” Drake said as he looked into my eyes. “Our dinner for two will be ready in ten minutes. Will you accompany me my Luna?” Drake exclaimed as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
“It would be my pleasure to accompany you my Alpha,” I gushed as he led us into the pack house and up the stairs to our suite.
Our dinner was being set up as we entered the suite.I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the red rose sitting in the middle of the table. I turned to face Drake, “Do I have time to change, or am I all right to wear what I’m wearing?” I questioned him.
“You can change, but your dinner will get cold. Personally, you look gorgeous,” Drake answered me as he kissed me. Then, he whispered in my ear, “you’re absolutely beautiful when you wear nothing at all.”
A blush made its way to my cheeks. I know I must be a bright red by now. “Bree, may I assist you?” Drake asked as he held the chair for me to sit down. He lit the candle on the table and turned the lights down low. Then, he went to his chair and sat down.
I must admit, I have a very handsome mate incandlelight, in any light for that matter. Our dinner was a perfectly grilled steak, mashed potatoes, and baby-glazed carrots with rolls. I sighed as I saw our dinner. I couldn’t help but think Drake knew about the baby already hence the baby-glazed carrots. Our dinner conversation centered around what I would like for my Luna Ceremony. Drake wanted to have it like, yesterday. I finally conceded and agreed to have it next week to which Drake only smirked.
“You already had itplanned, didn’t you?” I questioned him with a sly grin on my face.
“Well, yes.I already had it planned out. I just didn’t have a date. I have claimed you in all ways except as officially as my Luna. I don’t want to wait any longer,” Drake whined as he got up from his chair to walk over to me.
“I don’t want to deny you anything Drake. I’m sorry you had to wait this long,” I replied as I stood up and held his face with my hands. I pulled him to me and kissed him soundly. “I love you, Drake.”
“I love you, too Bree,” Drake replied as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
Before I knew it, Drake picked me up and walked us over to the couch. He sat down and placed me on his lap. I placed my head on his shoulder and sighed. I loved the way he held me. I decided I needed to change positions. I got up, hiked up my dress, and straddled Drake so I was facing him.
Drakeraised his eyebrow and looked at me with a wolfish grin. “Drake, honey. I need to talk to you, but I want to face you when I do. I found something out when I was with Aunt Yvonne today and I need to tell you about it,” I announced with a nervous tint to my voice.
Drake picked up my nervousness and instantly became alarmed. “Honey, whatever you found out, we can handle it together. I promise. You sound upset. Are you all right? What can I do?” Drake continued to inquire what would upset me so.
I took a deep breath.I placed my hands on his shoulders. I moved my hands down to his chest and back up to his shoulders. This had a calming effect on me. It seemed to have the same effect on Drake as well.
“Do you remember why you asked me to ‘date’you in the first place?” I asked Drake as I watched his reaction to my question.
“Well, yes. I saw you during the tournament. You were amazing. You awakened my wolfand we started to have feelings. Feelings we hadn’t had in a while. We found out that you had no mate and decided to see if we could maybe make you our mate,” Drake answered with a slight blush on his cheeks.
“Yes, that’s all true. But why did you need to find a mate in the first place?” Iquestioned him further.
“Well, your uncle told me that I needed to find a mate and have an heir. If I didn’t then I would have to give up my pack to someone else. When I saw you, I became smitten. You know this. Why are you asking me about this honey?” Drake inquired as he searched my eyes for an answer.
“As I said, I found something out when I was with Aunt Yvonne today. Drake, honey …” all of a sudden, I couldn’t say anything. I simply took his hand and placed it on my very flat stomach.
He looked at me for a few minutes, then his eyes got wide. “You’re … you’re pregnant … with my pup?!” he shouted as he jumped up.
“Yes, we are going to have a pupaccording to a home pregnancy test. I would like to have a doctor confirm it, but I believe I am,” I gushed as continued to search my eyes for sincerity.
