I woke up to softkisses being placed on my shoulder by Elias. It felt heavenly. Not to be outdone, Drake was placing soft kisses along cheeks and temple. When my eyes actually opened up, I saw the emerald, green eyes of Drake looking lovingly at me. “Good morning, Bree. It’s time to wake up. We thought we’d wake you up gently. Did we accomplish it?” asked Drake with a soft smile on his handsome face.

“Mhm. Yes, you did. I could get used to waking up like this. It was nice. Thank you,” I replied as I remained sprawled across Drake’s chest. I wanted this moment to last as long it could. I knew I had to get up and get ready for the day, but this just felt sssooooo good. “Who gets the shower first?” I inquired as I stretched against Drake.

“Ladies first, then we’ll take ours,” responded Elias with a smirk on his handsome face.

“Okay, let me get up andget started,” I stated with a sigh. I looked at Drake who was intently watching me with his emerald, green eyes. I reached up and cupped his cheek. “How did you sleep last night?” I asked with a smile on my lips as he smiled at me.

“I slept great with you in my arms.Let’s just say, you know how to snuggle close,” Drake chuckled as he watched a blush creep upon my cheeks.

“I second that motion.She is an excellent snuggle bunny,” Elias chimed in behind me as he ran his hand down my spine.

“What does that mean?!” I demanded. “Just what are you implying? What did I do in my sleep?”

“We don’t snuggle and tell,” Elias chided as he got up from the bed to let me get up.

“Wha … oohhh …” was all I said as I tried to get up from the bed before I was picked up bridal style and taken to the bathroom by Elias.

“Remember, Bennett’s orders were that you were to be carried untilfurther orders. We will continue to carry you,” Elias exclaimed as he walked me into the bathroom and placed me in front of the shower. “I’ll leave you here unless you want company in the shower,” he stated with a wolfish grin on his face.

“I think I can handle the shower on my own, thank you,” I replied as I turned around to turn the shower on to warm up.

“As you wish. Holler if you need anything,” Elias bellowed as he shut the door to the bathroom.

I ignored him and started my morning routine.When I finished with my shower, I stepped out to find my clothes and other items waiting for me. How did they sneak in on me? OMG! What am I going to do with these two? I finished getting ready and opened the bathroom door to walk out only to be met with Drake.

“Hi honey. You look beautiful. May I take you to the other room?” Drake asked as he scooped me up bridal style as he placed a soft kiss on my lips.

“Yes, that would be lovely. Thank you, Drake,” I replied as I wrapped my arms around his neck, and I nestled myself against his shoulder. I sighed deeply and contently against him which he seemed to notice as he placed me on the couch.

“I’ll be back shortly to take you to breakfast and then to my territory,” Drake stated as he kissed me on the temple before he left to take his shower.

I smiled at his retreating form.He was handsome and a gentlemen. How was I even being considered as a mate for him? Wow! I decided while I was waiting for Elias and Drake to finish getting ready for the day, I would check my messages on my phone. Wouldn’t you know it, I had several from dad and Tom not to mention from Anna who was taking my place as patrol supervisor.

I was almost caught up with the messages when I wasbrought back to reality. Elias and Drake stood in front of me grinning at me “Are you ready for some breakfast? They’re waiting for us in the dining room downstairs,” Elias announced as he proceeded to pick me up from the couch.

Drake walked over to the door and opened it for us.We all went downstairs to the dining room. As we entered, dad chuckled when he saw Elias carrying me into the room. Elias gently placed me in a chair and then sat next to me with Drake on the other side.

“Good morning, everyone. Alpha Bennett,do you think they can stop carrying me now? Please?” I pleaded as we settled in our seats before we began our breakfast.

“I don’t know. They seem to enjoy carrying you around. Why don’t you ask them to stop carrying youinstead of me,” replied Alpha Bennett with a smirk towards Drake and Elias.

“I did ask them, but they said they were supposed to carry me untiltold to do otherwise by you. I apologize Alpha Bennett; you will tell them to stop when its necessary. I’m sorry for whining,” I stated as I looked at my dad who had a frown on his face.

“Bree, it’s alright. Let’s enjoy our breakfast, hmm?” Alpha Bennett suggested as plates were being fixed.

I ate my meal in silence. I watched my dad who looked like he wanted to say something but didn’t know how to say it. I asked him through the mind link if he was alright. He said he was. He said he was just tired.I knew him better than that.

“So, Bree are you looking forward to your week with Drake?” dadasked with a weak smile on his face.

I finished drinking my juice before I answered him. “Yes, I am. The time I was there after the tournament was nice, but it was really short. I would like to see more of his territory and his people,” I answered dad truthfully with a genuine smile on my face.

Drake seemed to notice my smile andstated, “They are looking forward to seeing you again. My pack knows that you are arriving today, and they want to have a banquet in your honor tonight. But I told them we will hold off until next Friday for the banquet. We will have one of our potluck dinners instead at the pack house tonight. You’re in for a treat. Our potluck dinners are some of our best dinners,” Drake boasted as he finished his breakfast. “Your dad and Tom are welcome to join us if they’re available.”

Dadlooked at me then at Tom then at Drake, “We’d be delighted to come. What time should be there? May we stay the night as well?”

“Yes, you may. Dinner will be around 6:30 outside the pack house—picnic style and I’ll have a suite ready for you and Tom. Just let me or my Beta know if you require anything special,” Drake explained as we were preparing to leave the dining room.

“Drake, will you see me in my office for a few minutes before you leave? I have something I want to discuss with you. It will only take about 10 minutes. Bree can wait in the living room. Bree, you have everything you need for your trip?” inquired Alpha Bennett as he stood from the table.
