“We’re ready. Bree, do you have everything? We need to leave if we are to arrive on time,” Elias explained as he turned to look at me.

“Yes, I’m ready. I have everything by the door.Just let me visit the restroom and we can leave,” I replied as I went to the bathroom. I wanted to freshen up before we left and to double check my neck. The neck still looked scabbed over. I’m still not sure if he broke the skin or not. I guess I’ll have to wait until I get home to find out.

We left the suite and walked downstairs. Everyone we encountered had huge smiles on their faces and bowed respectfully. I said goodbye to everyone I saw. A little girl ran up to me with a small bouquet of flowers and wished me well. How delightful. I couldn’t help it, I started to cry. Elias escorted me to the waiting SUV and helped me in. I fastened the seat belt, and he got in the other side. I waved goodbye to everyone as we drove away. I couldn’t help but feel sad.

“Are you alright Bree,” Elias asked as we pulled away from the pack house.

“Yes, the people are so sweet, so special. I’m going to miss them,” I explained as I looked at the flowers on my lap.

“Theyfell in love with you,” Elias replied as he continued to drive towards my territory. He reached over and held my hand.

I couldn’t help but think how much my life has changed over the past three months. From training for the tournament to starting to date my alphas. Wow! Who would have thought my life would have changed so drastically? I guess since I didn’t sleep very well last night, I needed to sleep because I fell asleep on the ride home. Soon, Elias was gently rocking me telling to wake up because I was home. My eyes fluttered open to see my pack house and my dad standing in front of it.

“Bree, wake up honey. You’re home.Your dad’s waiting for you,” Elias cooed as he gently woke me up.

“Mm. How long was I asleep?” I whispered as I was still trying to fully wake up.

“About three hoursgive or take. You looked so peaceful, I didn’t want to wake you up,” Elias stated as my dad opened my door.

“Hey Puddin’, how are you doing? Did she fall asleep on the way home?” my dad asked Elias as he unfastened my seatbelt.

“Yes sir, she did. Iwas still trying to wake her up,” Elias answered my dad as he released my hand.

“Hi dad. I’m okay, just a little tired. How’s everything here? Hey! I can walk you know!” I yelled as my dad lifted me out of the SUV and carried me towards the pack house.

“I know you can walk, but you have somewhere you need to be. Alpha Elias, follow us please.Alpha Bennett is expecting you,” my dad announced over his shoulder as he proceeded into the pack house.

I was handed off to Tom who took me to the infirmary where Rufus was waiting for me. Dad escorted Elias to Alpha Bennett’s office. When Elias walked into Alpha Bennett’s office, he found Drake already there. Elias hung his head. Alpha Bennett told him to have a seat. Elias sat down and sighed.

Rufus started to examine my neck. I’m not really sure what he did. He took swabs of my neck, rubbed something on it, then took another swab. He grunted a few times, then he came over and said, “Let me put this on your neck, then you can go. I’ll meet you in the Alpha’s office in a few minutes.”

“Okay, so what’s the verdict?” I asked him clearly confused as to what he actually did.

“I’ll explain everything when I get to the Alpha’s office.Tom, will you take her to the office please,” Rufus asked him as he continued to make notes on a piece of paper.

“Sure, we’ll see youthere doc,” Tom replied as he picked me up again.

“Hey! I can walk! What’s with you allcarrying me around?” I bellowed as Tom carted me towards the pack house and Alpha’s office.

CHAPTER 11

Coming Home Before Drake’s Week

“Just following directions is all. Stop complaining and enjoy it. Geez, women. Always complaining about something,” grumbled Tom as he continued to make his way towards the Alpha’s office.

I crossed my arms across my chest to show him how much Idisliked being carried. “You know how much I hate being coddled,” I growled as we entered Alpha Bennett’s office.

“Yes, we do Breonna, but he’s following my orders. Now, stop complaining. Tom, you can put her down in a chair. Thank you for your assistance,” Alpha Bennett complimented Tom as he exited the office.

“I’m sorry Alpha Bennett.Ever since returning here, I’ve been carried. First by dad, then by Tom. I don’t understand. Why? What’s going on?” I asked confusion lacing my voice.

“I’ll answer all your questions shortly. First, let’s talk about last nightand the events that led up to the ‘marking’ event,” Alpha Bennett stated as he looked at me then to Elias. “Who wants to go first? Hmm?”

“Well, Elias had a ball in my honor to show me what it would be like if I was his Luna. It was a lovely evening. When it was over, we retired to his suite. He had a large bouquet of roses waiting for me with a card that read: Welcome home to my future Luna Breonna. I thought it was sweet. I gave him a hug and a kiss. The kiss got a little carried away. Next thing I know his canines are coming out and I’m trying to get his attention. I’m trying to push him away and the evening went to hell,” I lamented as tears threatened to spill again.

“Okay, Elias would you care to elaborate on this. I would like to hear your side of this,” Alpha Bennett announced.

“It was like she said. We started kissing. The evening was so great. I just got so wrapped up in the idea that she could be my Luna. When we were kissing, my wolf took over. He wants me to claim her as his own. It was a moment of weakness. I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t mean to. Bree’s forgiven me,” Elias stated as he kept his head lowered showing his shame.
