“No, why not? I apologized, didn’t I?” he seethed through clenched teeth.

“She said no. No, means no. You need to accept her answer and move on Lorenzo,” Alpha Bennett declared as he stepped out from behind Lorenzo.

“Where did you come from Bennett? I didn’t see you there?”Lorenzo stated so sweetly sugar could have melted in his mouth.

“I purposely stayed hidden to see if I was right about how you talkto Breonna when I’m not around since you seem to have a split personality. I was right. You need to leave now Lorenzo before I have to get the council involved,” Alpha Bennett advised him.

“I’ll leave, but I will be back. You can count on that. See you soon Breonna,” Lorenzo stated as he blew me a kiss. Then he reached down and picked up his bag. He glanced around before he left.

I swear I almost passed out after he walked out the door. Drake and Rex caught me before I landed on the stairs. “Bree, breathe baby. Breathe. Look at me. Bree, take a deep breath and slowly let it out. That’s it. Listen to my voice. That’s it baby, take calming breaths,” Drake cooed and comforted me. “Bree, look at me. You’re going to be alright. We are going to make sure nothing happens to you. You have my word,” Drake continued soothe me with his words.

I looked at him and thento everyone else who was around me. The looks of concern were on everyone’s face. I sat up and shook my head to clear the cobwebs. I cupped Drake’s cheek and thanked him for helping me calm down. I looked at Alpha Bennett who looked upset at what just transpired with Alpha Lorenzo. I stood up and regained my composure and announced that I was ready to resume our activities for the day. Drake and Elias made sure I remained upright as we walked outside to the trucks that awaited us. We all piled in and began our journey to the lake.

I knewonce we arrived at the lake, I would be alright. The lake was one of the places I liked to go when I felt stressed out, overwhelmed, or experiencing high anxiety. This is my calming place. I couldn’t wait until we got there. I was sitting between Elias and Drake. Drake made sure he had his hand on my arm or leg. He wanted to make sure I knew he was there for me. Elias held my hand the entire way there. Once we arrived, Drake hopped out and pulled me out of the truck. He carried me to the beach area despite my protests.

“What? I just want to make sure youdon’t fall down,” Drake teased with a sly smirk on his face as he put me down on the beach.

“I need to go back to the truck and retrieve my beach bag,” Iscolded Drake as I went to walk toward the trucks.

“No, you don’t,” Elias replied. “I grabbed yours when I got mine. Here. Now, relax and enjoy yourself,” he explained with a grin on his handsome face.

“Wow. The two of you have everything planned, don’t you?” Iconcluded as I looked from Elias to Drake with a hint of suspicion on my face.

“I don’t know what you mean,” Elias remarked as he gave Drake a side look.

“Yeah, yeah. Okay, I promise to behave. What do you want me to do boys?” I asked with a hint of uncertainty.

“Well, let’s find a spot for us all to hang out. Where did Rex and Travis get off to?” Drake wondered as he scanned the beach looking for them.

Isee people that were not members of our pack. I found it to be confusing. I couldn’t find my dad, so I mind linked him to ask him what gives. He said Alpha Bennett asked the other Alphas and other females on the list to come to the lake today so they could meet. The only stipulation was that the Alphas that were asked to leave could not interrupt or disturb me and the ones I chose to keep. They accepted considering that they were meeting the other females on the list in a non-formal environment where everyone could have some fun. Okay. I asked him if he knew where Travis or Rex were. I hadn’t seen them since we got here. He said he would keep an eye out and let me know.

We started setting up our area with chair and towels. Drake found a few umbrellas for us. Elias came over with a few bottles of water for us. Out of the blue, a female with red hair came running up to us with Rex in tow. “Hey everyone,” she hollered as she came to a screeching halt.

“Hey everyone. I want you to meet Roxanne, my fated mate,” Rex announced with a gleam in his eyes.

“Congratulations Rex,” Irejoiced as I gave him a hug which elicited a growl from Roxanne.

“Relax Roxanne, this is Breonna.She’s the reason I’m here today. Otherwise, I may not have met you yet,” Rex cooed as he kissed Roxanne on the lips gently.

“Congrats man,” Eliasand Drake exclaimed at the same time clapping him on the shoulder.

“You can still join us if you want …” I started to say before Rex interrupted me.

“No, we don’t want to intrude.I’m going to be with some of my own pack members. Good luck to you Breonna,” Rex cried out as he walked away with Roxanne wrapped in his arms.

“Thank you,” I cried out as I watched them walk away.

“Wow! What are the odds?” Elias asked as they walked awaytowards another group of people.

“I wonder if that’s what happened to Travis. I wonder if he’s found his fated mate,” Drake wondered out loud.

We started to shed our clothing.I took off my tank top. I stopped because I was in awe of the muscles on display in front of me. Elias and Drake had chests that we full of muscles. Yes, I was caught drooling again. Who cares? I don’t. I wanted to touch all of them, but I was interrupted by a loud ‘Ahem’ behind me.

Travis stood behind me waiting for me to turn around and acknowledge him. “Hey Travis, what’s up? Where have you been?” I bombarded him with questions.

“Well, when we got here, I caught the most delicious scent I have ever smelled.So, I followed it. Guess what, I found my fated mate. Her name is Amanda. Can you believe it?” Travis questioned us.

“Well, actually I can. Rex found his fated mate as well. A girl named Roxanne.She a cute redhead,” I explained as a brunette came running up and wrapping her arms around Travis’s neck.
