We all made our way to the door. I was surrounded by Drake on my right and Elias on my left. Rex was directlybehind me. My father was the last one to leave the suite. Lorenzo was behind Rex, and he kept muttering things the whole way down to the dining room. No one said a word the whole way down. Lorenzo reminded me of a spoiled little brat. He was going to have to leave.

When we arrived, the muttering suddenly stopped. He became the perfect gentlemen. Everyonewas shocked. Well, not everyone. I guess it was anticipated by Alpha Bennett. He had something up his sleeve the whole time. We were the only ones in the dining room. We started eating our breakfast when I asked Alpha Bennett what we were doing today.

“Well, you andyour possible mates are going to go on a little excursion this afternoon to the lake. You are going to relax and enjoy yourselves. Mainly because they have to return to their packs tomorrow. You will travel to their packs to get to know them on a personal, deeper level. You will spend a week with each Alpha. How does that sound?” Alpha Bennett questioned Bree with a smile on his face.

“It sounds …I don’t know. I mean. What about my duties here Alpha Bennett?” I stuttered as I tried to explain how I was feeling.

“You’re about to become a Luna, Breonna. You won’t have duties here anymore, duh,” Lorenzo mocked me as he continued to eat his breakfast.

“AlphaLorenzo, you will refrain from talking to Breonna like that. She is a valued member of my pack. She still has duties she is required to perform,” Alpha Bennett replied in his Alpha voice.

“AlphaLorenzo, I asked you to be civil while you were around my daughter. If you cannot be civil while you are around her, please remove yourself,” my dad defended me.

“Alpha Lorenzo, I wanted to express my feelings to Alpha Bennett in a way that he would understand but I was unsure how to do it. I do not wish to place my duties on another person and over burden them. That is not fair to them. I take my duties and responsibilities seriously. Just as I am sure you do your job as Alpha. Please understand that I understand I know that I am about to become a Luna, the realization has hit me, but it does not ease my burden here,” I stated as I rose from my chair. “Alpha Bennett, may I please be excused for a moment. I need to use the ladies room.”

“Permission granted,” Alpha Bennett statedas he turned his attention to Alpha Lorenzo who seemed to be ignoring everyone.

Everyone was silent for the time I was gone. I needed the time to collect myself and to calm my nerves. I came back and all heads, except Lorenzo turned to greet me. I nodded to them that I was alright. Drake got up and pulled my chair out for me. He gave a kiss on the cheek as I walked by him.

“Lorenzo, do you have anything to say about what was said before Breonna excused herself?” Alpha Bennett demanded as he tried to make eye contact with him.

“No, not really. I don’t know why everyone has their panties in a wad. I just stated a fact. Why it’s being blown way out of proportion I don’t know.Bree, you seem like a capable girl, but really, you will have other responsibilities. It’s time to hand them over to someone else and move on. That’s all I meant. No big deal,” Lorenzo stated as he finished his breakfast and pushed away his plate.

I mind linked AlphaBennett that I don’t think I could continue to ‘date’ Alpha Lorenzo. He seems to aggressive and just to overbearing. He can’t be civil around me or my dad. I can’t have that. He doesn’t seem to respect me very much. Alpha Bennett said he agreed with me.

“Before we retire to our rooms to get ourselves ready for our excursion today, I think we need to ‘clear the air’ so to speak,” Alpha Bennett announced. “We seem to have some issues regarding respect, civility, and basic common courtesy.”

As Alpha Bennett was talking, Drake held my hand under the table where no one could see and gave it a gentle squeeze. He knew exactly what was about to happen. Elias sat on my left and he put his hand on my thigh. He gave it a squeeze as if to signify he had my back too. My men, how am I going to decide between the two of them? Or four of them? Yikes!

“AlphaLorenzo, it is clear that you are being antagonistic towards not only Breonna, but her father, the other Alphas, and myself. I think you need to excuse yourself from this process. Breonna is warrior who is to be respected and honored not disrespected and taunted. Please leave my territory immediately,” Alpha Bennett requested as he stood from the table.

“You,you little slut. How dare you do this to me,” yelled Alpha Lorenzo as he angrily got up from his chair.

“Silence! You will not address herlike that! Escort Alpha Lorenzo out of the pack house immediately!” commanded Alpha Bennett putting his alpha aura behind it.

“You … you …” Lorenzo was fighting the alpha command since he was an alpha himself. But since Bennett was a stronger alpha, Lorenzo had to obey.

The warriors draggedLorenzo out of the dining room still trying to defy Alpha Bennett. Drake had pulled me into his chest to shield me from Lorenzo. Rex had joined Elias and Travis to form a protective shield around me to protect me from Lorenzo if he got loose. When Alpha Bennett stepped back into the dining room, he stopped for a moment to observe where everyone was. He was impressed that the four remaining Alphas had formed a protective shield around me without even being told to do so. My father, of course, and Tom was standing guard in front of Luna Sophia. Alpha Bennett walked in with a huge smile on his face.

“Alright then,shall we prepare for some fun in the sun? hmm?” Alpha Bennett exclaimed as he entered the dining room and wrapped his arms around his own mate.

“Yes, Alpha,”I replied as I inhaled the scent of Drake once more to keep me calm. “What time should we be ready to go and how are we getting there?” I questioned him once more.

“Be ready in about two hours and we will drive down. Bree, we will keep an eye out for Lorenzo. I am sending a message to Elder Reese regarding him. Please be extra careful,” Alpha Bennett added as we walked out of the dining hall.

“Yes, alpha. I will be careful,” I repliedstill holding Drake’s hand.

“I will increase her protective detail, if that’s alright with you Bree,” Drake hesitated before he committed his resources.

“Yes, it is alright with me. Thank you, Drake,” I beamed as we walked up the stairs.

“How about we use some of our own warriors who already know her before we use more of yours Drake. Would that be alright?” Alpha Bennett proposed to Drake.

“Yes, that sounds logical. You’ll still keep the two that are already in place?” Drake asked with concern in his voice.

“Yes, we’ll keep the ones already in place.Beta, make it happen post haste,” Alpha Bennett commanded.

“Yes alpha,” dad answered as we continued to walk up the stairs towards our suite.
