Alexis stopped in front of me. “How would you like me, sir?” she asked me in a flirty manner.

“With your dress off,” I replied as I gazed up at her and shrugged off my jacket. I wondered why she stood out to me. She was beautiful, but the other girls were nice to look at as well.

Alexis smiled and peeled off her tube dress, leaving herself in a stringy, black bra and thong. She stepped toward me and reached out to undo my shirt.

I leaned back away from her. “I’ve got it,” I replied as I unbuttoned my shirt and tossed it to the side. My pants followed, but I left my black briefs on. I didn’t get fully undressed with these girls, and I didn’t let them take my clothes off either. I just couldn’t let them do that for some reason. It felt too…intimate.

She climbed onto my lap then grinded down on me with her body expertly swaying sensually back and forth over me.

I stared at her dark hair and the memory of Mrs. Mora suddenly popped into my head. I closed my eyes and saw nothing but her. I kept the girl on my lap. For some reason I just couldn’t allow her to meet me flesh to flesh. I rotated her hips and pushed her down on me, but only on my briefs. The thought of Mrs. Mora’s delicate curves as her sexy smirk floated in my mind. Then I pictured her nude, though I knew my imagination probably did her no justice.

I got lost in my own fantasy… Mrs. Mora grinding on me as her huge brown eyes looked into mine. She whispered sexily into my ear. Her words priming me as she told me what she wanted me to do to her. This sent me over the edge quicker than I had anticipated.

Alexis’ hips slowly came to a stop as she smiled at me. “I’d be happy to clean you off,” she murmured as she started to slide down to the floor on her knees.

“No, thank you,” I replied as I rose to my feet, ignoring the mess in my briefs. I was so taken by surprise by the thought of Mrs. Mora that I wanted to leave and figure out where the hell that had come from. It had been weeks since I’d last seen her. She had been at the governor’s ball two weeks ago and was even lovelier than before when I’d caught a glimpse of her at the wedding.

“Sir?” Alexis asked with a confused look on her face as she rose to her feet.

I pulled on my clothes and reached into my pocket to grab my wallet. I handed her a hefty tip before leaving the room and making my way down the stairs.

“Done already?” Bri asked. “Did she please you?”

“Yes,” I replied before breezing past her and out of the building. Alexis did the physical work, but Mrs. Mora did the mental work. No wonder I was drawn to Alexis and her dark hair.

“Home, please,” I told the driver once Iso opened the backdoor of the all-black SUV for me.

“Yes, sir,” the driver replied and took off down the road once Iso got in the passenger’s seat.

I turned my head to peer out of the window, watching New Orleans vibrant nightlife flicker past me. I wondered if Mrs. Mora was still in the city and if she was with the governor right now. She didn’t seem like the type to hang on the arm of a politician. Genuinely.

She wasn’t some dead-eyed housewife or his high school sweetheart. Something told me she was with him for a reason. I was determined to find out that reason and any other little thing I could find out about that mysterious woman.

I couldn’t help but feel victorious. Over and over again, I replayed the look Alberto Mancini had given me at the Governor’s Ball. He seemed entranced by me, falling right into the trap I set for him. It had been even more intense that when I’d seen him at his son’s wedding.

At least hanging on the old governor’s arm turned out to be worth it in the end. It became obvious the governor was entranced by me as well. He wouldn’t stop calling me to ask me out. I was starting to run out of excuses to keep him at bay. Eventually, I would have to put him in his place, but I also didn’t want to lose him as a connection.

I peeked at my phone notifications as I walked out of my bedroom after a deep sleep, seeing numerous calls and texts from the governor. I had plans today, so he would just have to wait another day for me to get back to him. After lowering my phone and smoothing down the flowy material of my A-line, grey blue dress, I smiled and greeted Mrs. Cruz as she walked out of the kitchen. “Good morning.”

“Good morning, señora,” Mrs. Cruz replied with a polite nod. “I plan on steaming the living room rug today and organizing the bathroom and kitchen cabinets.”

I parted my lips to say yes to those plans, but I paused. Maybe it was because my plan kicked off well and I could see the finish line, but I was in the mood to change things up. “Actually, throw out the rug. I’ll purchase a new one,” I told her. “And organize the cabinets however you see fit.”

“Of course,” Mrs. Cruz replied before hurrying off to get started.

Today was supposed to be a good day. I planned to go out with my friends and take my mind off things. After all of the hard work I had been doing, I deserved a little break to let loose.

I headed out of the house and had my driver take me to Canal Street where some of the finest shopping could be done. My friends from my school days, Jenna and Mia, waved at me excitedly from the front of the mall.

“It’s good to see you!” I told them as I threw my arms around them, hugging them close. After everything that happened, I withdrew into myself, blocking out people who cared about me. I felt bad about neglecting my friends so much.

“I can’t believe you’re back! We’ve missed you,” Jenna said as she beamed at me. Her chocolate brown hair had been straightened, falling against her white blouse tucked into her expensive, light blue jeans. She used to be a cheerleader, which was easy to tell by her lean, fit body.

Mia was the sweetest person I had ever known. Her face was framed by short, black hair with bangs. She wore a pink tank top and a black skirt, which complimented her short, petite figure. “Girls’ day out isn’t the same without you,” she said.
