As hard as I try to quickly dry her off and get her into the house, there is only so quickly you can move with a woman seven months along with twins. I don’t even get her slippers on before Dom is out the back door and eyes us suspiciously. Especially because I’m still dripping wet and naked as fuck. I grab my underwear, putting them on as best as I can.

“How long have you two been out here?” he asks.

Kelsey walks up to him, eyes wide. “The babies were really hurting my back this morning,” she says in her sad little voice. Dom, being a complete sucker, wraps her up in his arms and strokes her back.

“You should take a nap before everyone gets here,” he tells her, kissing her head. He lovingly strokes her belly as Kelsey looks over her shoulder and winks at me.

Like I said, we’re all fucking whipped. Kelsey leans on him more than she needs to as he walks her back up to one of the bedrooms.

Apparently, it’s going to be an early morning for everyone as we prepare to host this Fourth of July bash. Shyla comes ambling down the stairs, already fully dressed and put together for the day. She gives me a quick peck before walking over to the coffee machine.

“Was she out in the pool again?” she asks.

“Yeah,” I reply, unable to lie to her.

“I told her to stop doing it.” She huffs. “Any of us would wake up with her and take her in the morning.”

“That’s what I said.”

“Well, I’m going to put an alarm on the door, so we’ll get notified when she goes out to the pool. Even if she wasn’t pregnant, I don’t like the idea of her swimming alone. But she’s seven months pregnant with twins!”

Cameron comes down the stairs in his underwear, yawning. As he leans against me, I wrap an arm around his waist. “She was in the pool again?” Cameron says sleepily.

“Do we all just know she’s doing this shit and all of us are covering for her?” Shyla asks. Cameron and I nod our heads.

“I’m getting the sensor put on tonight,” she says as she takes her cup of coffee and sips. “What time will the caterers be here?” she asks.

“Around eleven.”

“I still think this is too much excitement for her in this state.”

“It will be fine. You’re just nervous for all the girls to be together,” I say, wiggling my eyebrows.

Shyla doesn’t deny it. When Kelsey gets with her Omega besties, shit usually goes awry, and Kelsey and Liv are usually at the center of it.

“We just all need to agree that we keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn’t overexert herself.”

“Sounding like a mommy already. We will take care of our girl,” I say, kissing the side of Cameron’s head before kissing Shyla.

“In that case, I’m going to need more sleep to handle Liv today,” Cameron says. I laugh and nod as he heads up to one of the bedrooms.

“I’ll start setting up the tables and tents outside.”

“Thank you,” Shyla says nervously.

“It’s going to be fine, Alpha.” I give her one more kiss before I begin to prep for the party.

Kelsey looks like a fertility goddess as she stands in the backyard with flowers in her hair and a flowing white dress around her belly.

She’s surrounded by her best friends, Liv, Cami, and much to my happiness, my cousin Emily. Who seems to be sporting a small bump herself.

The girls laugh in a circle as Liv goes on about her pets doing outrageous things around the house. Apparently, one dog fell asleep in Dean’s luggage and he wound up taking the tiny thing all the way to New York one day from their home in Connecticut.

Grayson, Dom, Smith, and Griffin are all drinking beers and look like they are all staring at the Omegas, typical. Kenji and Shyla are talking about their respective cases.

Freddie and Cameron are talking about computer stuff that I don’t understand while River pours shots for himself, me, and Dion.

“So, twins, huh?” River asks.
