"Rowe and Knox are behind schedule. Knox's sister had a relapse and Rowe is helping contain her before she starts streaking and scaring the neighbors."
My eyes widen at Dax's explanation, but Kai just nods beside me.
"Um, what? I am so lost. What happened to Knox's sister?" I ask, looking between the three faces.
"Knox's whole family is a bunch of wackos. He's the only sane one. His sister has a cocktail of psych diagnoses and the only thing that keeps her out of the hospital is staying on her meds. When she's off…let's just say it's not pretty. Turns out, she stopped taking her meds a few days ago and they're waiting for the ambulance to arrive." Nico doesn't sugarcoat it at all.

"I need to head out for a bit. Don't cause too much trouble," Kai warns.
