"Kai!" I growl at him.
My anxiety builds. The last time Kai led me somewhere, he was leading me off to be raped. What kind of horrible scene is he leading me to now?
"Stop!" I hiss but he throws me over his shoulder before walking down the stairs. "Malakai Harris, put me the fuck down!" I yell before kicking his stomach. I'm not only on edge but his unwillingness to pump the breaks is pissing me off.
"Calm down, princess," he growls before he spanks my bare ass, pain shooting through the skin.
"Ow! You're such an asshole!" I yell as he carries me into a massive room where I hear a commotion. It starts as chatter which turns to laughter.
"Here she is!" Kai announces before setting me on my feet and tugging my back into his chest, restraining me there even with the handcuffs on me.
My eyes scan the room, seeing the other guys who raped me but also seeing Blaine of all people sitting on the couch, looking like I'm his worst nightmare.
"Blaine?"
No, please. Don't let it be so. It can't be. He can't be the one who convinced Kai to do this to me. I know I hurt his feelings but this … this is the ultimate betrayal. Blaine was my friend, one of myfewfriends, and he stabbed me in the back like this?
"What's going on?" Blaine asks, jumping to his feet. He seems panicked.
"We're just having some fun with Aria. Isn't that right, princess?" Kai asks as I fight his hold.
"Let her go!"
"Um, not happening. I think Miss James is quite enjoying her stay in my humble habitat. Aren't you?" Then, Kai kisses my cheek.
"Oh, my god. What did you do to her?" Blaine asks as if I'm not standing here, staring at him in disbelief.
"Exactly what you wanted. You said you wanted revenge on her, right?"
That confirms my fear. Blaine is responsible for this.
"You fucking bastard!" I scream at him and try to break free from Kai's hold to claw Blaine's face off but Kai just tightens his hold.
"I didn't ask for this," Blaine defends.
"Well, you should've been specific. You did say you wanted to destroy her life. She's here with us, and I think we're going to keep her," Kai insists. "Although, I might've gone a bit overboard. Do you think so, princess?"
At first, I thought he was trying to antagonize me but he's trying to enrage Blaine with his remarks. This is what he meant by getting me into character.
The question is why? Why is Kai mad at him?
"How could you do this, you piece of shit? I fucking trusted you and you stab me in the back like this? For what? Because I refused to go out with you? I don't date period. What makes you so fucking special?"
Blaine's face falls but I don't give a shit. He's an asshole for putting Kai up to this. Blaine targeted a tornado at me, and I had no time to prepare for shelter.
"Even your dick is mediocre, you piece of shit!" I scream at him.
Even Dax and Rowe cringe at the way I fire at Blaine's male ego.
"Damn. Aria has quite the mouth on her, doesn't she?" Knox laughs.
"Dammit, Kai. Just let her go! I'm pulling the plug! She doesn't deserve this!" Blaine presses, which seems to piss Kai off.
Kai pushes me back against the wall and levels me with a look. It's enough to say he doesn't want me to move from this spot.
I give a curt nod and he walks straight over to Blaine.
"It doesn't matter what she deserves or what you say. You think I went this far because youasked? You're shit, Blaine, and I don't owe you a damn thing. I went this far becauseyoubroke the fucking rules. Not her but you. She didn't know the rules but you did. You were well aware that she was off-fucking-limits. Youdefiedme!" Kai screams in his face like a madman.
