Oh fuuuuuuuck.
Shit.
Dammit.
Fuck.
They don’t know about…
Hell!
What do I do now?
Oh, God.
This is bad.
This is very, very, very bad.
“Uhh, yeah.” I try to laugh off my mistake. “You know, a few friends Aris and I made earlier in the week.”
“Girls, huh?” Aiden chuckles and bumps elbows with his brother. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?”
“Right? Just like Aris.” Adam shakes his head.
I narrow my eyes. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He shrugs. “It doesn’t mean anything…Adrienne.”
“That’s not my—”
“Yes, it is.” He laughs. “Your name is Adrienne Hart, is it not?”
FUCK!
SHIT!
DAMMIT!
My mouth opens to say words, but no words actually fall out and now I just look like an idiot in front of Aris’s brothers. And now they’re going to go blab to his family and the cat’s now so far out of the fucking bag and it’s all my fault and he’s going to hate me.
“It’s alright, Adrienne,” Aiden assures me. “We’ve known for a while now.”
“H-how…if you don’t mind my asking?”
Adam smirks. “The scavenger hunt winner board. It’s been posted for days and says Aris and Adrienne. Well, that and we also ran into your friends that night at the Club after our family had dinner. You and Aris weren’t there but they were talking about how cute you were, and we all got to talking. They shared your picture and everything.”
Fuck my friends.
I release a heavy sigh, bowing my head and trying to think of what to say next.
“Can I ask you something?” Aiden says to me from his seat at the bar.
“Yeah,” I say, defeat in my voice.
“Why Tayla? Did Aris put you up to that? Is he paying you?”
My head snaps up. “What? No. He’s not paying me anything. I’m not a whore if that’s what you’re wondering.”
