I remember him saying he didn’t have pajama bottoms but I’m pretty damn sure he said he was wearing underwear.
God, what if it’s a thong?
Is he wearing a goddamn banana hammock?
Would that be such a bad thing?
I kinda really want to peek.
But that would be hella-wrong of me.
Instead, I squeeze my eyes closed hoping if I open them again, I will not look like I’m trying to come onto my fake fiancé who so generously invited me to his room so I could get away from hearing my ex fuck around all night with another woman. When I open my eyes once more, I find I’m in the same exact predicament.
“Fuuuuck,” I whisper, trying to lift my arm off his chest and wondering how I’m going to remove the rest of me from Aris’s body without waking him.
“Good morning,” he chuckles above me.
Caught off guard, I try to spring away from him when my knee collides with his most prized possession.
“Hmpfh…Oh, Fu—!”
“Oh God, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry. Shit! Aris, I’m sorry, I—”
“S’okay.” He stops me from moving away from him, his hand on my back, his fingers holding onto my arm. “I’m…I’m okay.” He blows out a breath. “I didn’t need my balls for this trip anyway. Just…give me a second.”
Shiiiiiit.
I can’t believe I did that.
“How did you sleep?” he finally asks me.
I can feel my shoulders tighten knowing I’ve hurt him. Embarrassed, I cover my face with my hand. “Aris, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to…actually, I didn’t mean to…uh…wake up like this at all. God, I must’ve been sleeping hard. I was dreaming of a fucking body pillow. I should’ve known I was…and you were…do you need some ice? I can get you some ice.”
He chuckles behind me with that morning-tired rasp to his voice. It’s hella sexy. “I’m good. I promise. And I’m glad you slept well.” He runs his fingers lazily through my hair and God, it feels so nice. “You deserve a good night’s sleep. And for what it’s worth, you were a magnificent snuggle. I only just woke up a few minutes ago, but I didn’t want to wake you. You were sleeping so peacefully.”
“I swear I don’t like, hump body pillows in the night where I live. I don’t even own a body pillow so why I even encroached on your space is beyond me.”
“I really don’t mind,” he says again. “You hungry?”
“Surprisingly, yes. I could totally eat,” I answer, feeling my stomach rumble. “And could definitely use a coffee.”
“Or we could just stay like this for the rest of the day and tell our families the lovebirds are spending a day to themselves today.”
A smile spreads across my face at the thought that one day perhaps I’ll actually have something like that happen in my real life. A whole day in bed with my lover. Orgasm after orgasm.
Could there be anything more perfect?
“Wouldn’t that be a dream?”
“Yeah.”
He’s silent for a minute as his fingers slide up and down my arm. He could easily lull me back to sleep but my bladder calls. Finally, I sit up and rub my eyes before looking over at Aris.
“So, I know we talked about it with my friends last night, but I should’ve told you I was being serious about not having scheduled any excursions, so please don’t let me keep you from anything you have scheduled. I did see on the app something about an adult scavenger hunt on the ship this afternoon since we still have a day at sea if you’re interested?”
He shakes his head. “I didn’t schedule any excursions either.”
“What? Why not? Your family isn’t doing one together or anything?”
