“You’ve never been alone. We’ve always been here. I won’t do this alone. I don’t exist without you both. You don’t have to fear being alone. We will always be here,” Gio says in her ear as he gets behind her, pulling my attention from her alone.

“Okay, I understand,” she cries out.

Gio looks me in the eyes. I respond without words. We’re ready. She’s ours. We are one.

“Oh God, I love you both,” she whimpers as he enters her from behind.

I thrust up into her as she tightens around me. It’s like we’re wrapped in a bubble of our own creation. Nothing can break us now.

“Ny,” I groan as my orgasm rips through me.

Gio wraps a hand around her throat and Ny reaches back for his while grasping mine with her other hand. My eyes roll to the back of my head. When I focus on Ny and Gio again, my heart nearly explodes.

He has his forehead to hers and they both look like they’re about to release from the sheer pleasure of the connection. They’re happy, we’re together, I’m happy. Ny slips her hand into my hair and tugs my head into her breasts. Suddenly, peace washes over me.

“How do you plan to deal with that?” I say and nod toward the office door Lizzy just walked through.

He looks up from his phone and looks at the door I’m gesturing toward. He shrugs and looks back down at his phone.

“There’s nothing to deal with.”

The hell there isn’t. Ny will slit his throat if Lizzy is hurt when she finds out how we’re all connected. She’s so innocent, but she’s not stupid. She’s noticed the way Gio reacts to Ny.

“She still doesn’t know who we are to Ny. I think she’s trying to set you up with her sister. You can’t be missing that.”

He sighs and tosses the phone down on the desk. “I miss nothing. I see what she’s doing. I thought you’d be happy Ny will be here with us. It’s cute. Have a chuckle and let’s move on.”

“It’s not going to be cute when she figures out you have been in her sister’s life for longer than she’s been alive.”

“Here he is. Captain Obvious is back. I’m being promoted to the top of this thing, I’m in the bloodlines of four of the most ruthless families, I’m hiding a baby from one brother and the orchestrator of the execution of thestunadof the other, and you’re worried she’s going to be pissed about my relationship with her sister.” He snorts. “I have bigger worries than that.”

Ignoring me, he picks his phone back up. He has a point. There’s a lot of shit heading for the walls around here. We’re on no shortage of secrets.

My phone buzzes and I look down at it. A smile comes to my lips when I see it’s Ny. My stomach drops like I’m a teenager all over again, having her home feels so good.

Ny:He wants me to come work with you guys. I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone.

Ny:And I get to be with Lizzy!!! Thank you, Jace. Whatever you’ve been saying to him. Thank you.

Me:It’s all him. Well, this one was Lizzy. I think she’s trying to set you up.

Ny:Really? I should tell her the truth.

Me:Don’t. He’s not ready. He’s right, you know. Dante and Lizzy belong together. Give him time.

Ny:I could lose my sister because he wants to play matchmaker.

Ny:Before you say it. I’m going to trust him. Blah blah blah. Save your fingers.

I delete exactly that and start to type again with a smile on my lips.
