“Good evening,” one of the girls says as I pass by her for my private elevator.

I’ve designed this place for its purpose. Hits happen on the first floor, closer to the basement level, for clean disposal of the bodies. Sexy parties are on level two. Guests feel elite because they’ve traveled up a level.

On the third floor, I conduct business. That’s where they come to ask for favors. I have dolls up there, but they’re mostly for security. They give our guests a false sense of confidence.

You’d be surprised how much a man will relax when there seems to be no muscle around. They drink more, say more, trust more. No one ever thinks of the threat Jace might be.

That is when he’s in sight. Each floor is wrapped with safe rooms. Bulletproof walls for nondolls to run behind for safety if needed.

There’s an arsenal on every floor worth marveling over. There aren’t many who work here who aren’t trained killers, but there are a few. The frosted safety glass also acts as a partition for the staff to move between floors.

I exit the elevator on my floor, Jace right behind me while texting on his phone. I don’t have time to ask if he’s texting Ny. I need my head in the game.

Robby G comes into view, and I grunt to myself but put on a smile as I cross the room. This should be interesting.

This guy only shows up when he wants something that doesn’t belong to him. He’s gotten in the habit of using my girls as his muscle. He’s going to be surprised when I cut his ass off.

I don’t need him anymore, especially given the new information I have. His favors are useless. Jace stops me with a hand on my shoulder. I turn to look back at him.

“She’ll be here in an hour. Let’s make this bullshit quick,” he says, glancing at Robby. “I hate him.”

I ignore his tone because I feel the same way. Not to mention, I want to be alert when Ny arrives. I have a genuine smile now. I knew I had made myself clear.

“Robby, what can’t I do for you today?”

He looks at me, stupefied. I have to stifle my laugh. I knew he wasn’t going to expect this.

“G… Gio. What’s going on, buddy?” he says with a trembling smile.

“I’m not in the mood for your bullshit. Whatever you planned to ask for, that’s going to be a no.”

“But why? My money’s no good? I have that thing you asked me about. I can make it happen.”

“Nah, that’s not necessary anymore. You’re an inconvenience. I think it’s time we part ways.”

“What? Why?”

“You’ve been helping Riccardo Esposito build a crew. Rumor has it you’re even a part of it. I can’t have you in my face and helping my enemies at the same time. As a matter of fact, I can’t have you breathing.”

Jace steps up behind the couch Robby is sitting on. He wraps his arms around his neck and pulls him off the couch, then stabs a long syringe up Robby’s nose and pushes a coke and heroin mix into his system. Jace drops him onto the couch like the deadweight he is.

Piece of shit. I told him not to bring that shit into my club. Luckily, my girls aren’t into drugs. I don’t play that shit. I was informed as soon as he tried to push that crap here.

He was a dead man before I found out about him and Riccardo trying to poach Arty’s little bullshit crew from Gustloff.

I look at Ray, the doll who had been entertaining our guest. “You have what I asked for?”

“Yes, he’s been talking for hours. I have it all on tape. He probably named everyone.”

I purse my lips. This is what Ny is always talking about. Probably isn’t the same as absolutely. However, I’ve already put in motion a plan to get what I need.

“Good, get the recording down to Ming. She knows what I need.”

Our guys come from behind the wall to take Robby down to the basement for pickup. I’m done in here. I head for the stairs to go down to the main floor for a drink and to wait for my woman to show up.

More than an hour passes, and Ny still isn’t here. What I’m not going to do is text her again. I said what I said, and she needs to bring her ass home.

I bring my drink to my lips as I sit in one of three throne chairs on this pedestal. Jace sits in the one on the other side of the empty one next to me. I’ve been ready for Ny’s return since I sent for her.
