“You guys want to discuss?” I ask.

“Yeah,” Ny replies. “I’m working on my fears. I decided that no matter what, I’m not running.

“I was angry with Ava for not allowing me to take off with her, but I’m glad I didn’t. I feel like I have started to heal, finally. You guys have done a lot to make that happen.

“Nights like this. Our conversations. I never knew I felt like an outsider in our relationship until moving in here and being with you guys every day. I needed that. You know, time to join the bond you two have.

“Thanks for inviting me in. All I ask is a little patience while I get my shit right,” Ny finishes.

I pull a hand down my face. I didn’t know she felt like an outsider. This clears so much up.

“Take all the time you need and let us know what you need while you heal.” I blow out a breath.

“If we can help, we will. I’m not mad about the house. I kind of figured you were up to something,” Jace says and shakes his head. “I trust you, G. You frustrate me sometimes, but I trust you with my life.

“All I want from you both is to see you happy. If I can take a little part in that, I’ve lived a good life,” Jace says.

Ny smiles and crooks her fingers for us to come kiss her cheeks. We both move in to kiss her face on either side. I move my lips to her temple, placing a kiss of promise there.

“I love you, guys,” she says.

I reach for the hem of her shirt and tug it over her head. Jace unclasps her bra as I toss the shirt. Her breasts bounce free, drawing my attention. We lay her back together. I move to pull her shorts and panties down her long legs.

She moans as Jace captures her hardened peak in his mouth. Tossing her legs over my shoulders, I settle in to feast on her core. Soon she’s trying to squeeze me out as she lifts her hips and balances on her toes.

Tonight was a good night. We need more of these.

Chapter 55

Take Care of It

Jace

A month later…

Things are going well, but to sit here and listen to Gio tell Dante—There are always several ways to handle a situation. If a man wants something that’s already his, he should go after it—I couldn’t help but snort.

When will he get that Dante and Dario are so much like him? He’s talking to himself. Although I understand Dante’s reluctance.

Without looking back at me, Gio says, “When did I ask you anything?” I have to stifle my laughter. He knows what I’m thinking. “We leave in five. Go handle the chef.”

I grunt but get up to leave. Gio already mentioned getting rid of Jacob, removing him from the equation involving Lizzy. I stroll out of the office and head for Ny’s desk. She’s happier here now that she spends more time with Lizzy. For about two months, she’s been having lunch with her sister when she can and helping Lizzy out, even though Lizzy is efficient in her job.

“Hey, you, what’s up?” Ny sings as soon as she lifts her head. I love the smile on her face.

“G needs you to make that move. The chef is out.”

She nods. “Okay, but let him know if my sister gets hurt, I’m kicking his ass,” she whispers.

I wink at her. “I don’t think she’s that into him.”

“Honestly, neither do I. That’s why I’m going to do this.”

Nyla

It’s after work and Jace and I have been sitting in the bedroom preparing receipts for what I have planned for Jacob. I had to call Lizzy one last time to make sure she doesn’t like this guy.
