Page 104 of Monster's Obsession

Guests began to line up to meet me as others danced and ate.

A particularly gruesome blue monster, with spikes running down the middle of his head all the way down his spine, stepped in front of our thrones almost immediately. Creed and Steele tensed. Creed’s face was perfectly placid, but he was gripping the arm of his throne so tightly, it was amazing it didn’t shatter.

“Kurden,” Creed clipped, and the monster gave us a mocking bow. My eyes widened. This was who Tempest had told us about. The one who had the affair with the she-bitch and had tried to take over Wyld.

He even looked like an asshole. I couldn’t believe he had the balls to show his face in this kingdom after what he’d done.

“If you ever get tired of them, my door is always open, Your Majesty,” the asshole purred.

Tempest lunged forward, only stopped by Seven grabbing his arm and yanking him back.

I didn’t like that. Not at all.

“You can be leaving now,” I drawled, and my monsters glanced at me in surprise. Kurden’s mouth was gaping open like a fish. Evidently, I wasn’t supposed to say that.

Creed was the first to recover. “You heard our queen, Kurden,” Creed said with a fierce, sharp-toothed smile.

Kurden was about to say something else, but Tempest stepped in front of him, his hand settling on the dagger in his own belt.

“I’ll kill you myself, if he doesn’t,” I spit out, not sure how I’d managed that, but liking the threat nonetheless.

Kurden stared at us, hatred in his eyes, before he finally growled and stalked from the room. Creed sent soldiers to escort him out of Wyld, but I made a mental note that he needed to be dealt with soon…in a permanent way.

“You’re amazing, my queen,” Creed rasped as he picked up my hand and kissed my palm.

Before I could say anything, there was another monster in front of him. But this one…this one had a beautiful human girl with him.

A beautiful human girl he had collared and was dragging behind him with a long black chain.

She didn’t look like she’d been abused though. Her skin was unmarked, and her long blonde hair had been carefully styled. She was wearing a tiny blue dress that barely covered the important parts.

I was jealous of the coverage, which was hilarious because that dress was tinier than anything I would have worn on earth.

Look at me now, showing my goods to everyone.

The monster was enormous, his skin a dark charcoal color that blended in with the dark shadows circling his body. He was almost a cross between Tempest and Creed. His cocky smile certainly was.

“Titan,” Creed acknowledged, his tone friendly and welcoming.

“Creed, it’s good to be here celebrating your queen. A much better one than the she-bitch.”

Okay…he did have his girl collared, but he also clearly had good taste since he appeared to hate the Red Queen.

“This is Trinity,” he said, nodding his head fondly at the girl shooting daggers at him.

“Are you from—” I asked.

“I am,” she spit out fiercely, yanking the chain viciously…which only made Titan chuckle. “This fucking asshole stole me from my home in the middle of the night.”

I glanced at Creed with wide eyes…her story sounded a bit familiar.

“Let it go, Pet,” he purred, and I wrinkled my nose at him.

“I’m—sorry to hear that?” I asked, biting my lip in awkwardness.

Titan lunged towards her and pulled her tight to his body. Her cheeks flushed…maybe from anger…but maybe—

“Lust. Definitely lust,” Ash murmured from where he was set up behind me.
