A slow smile curved her lips. “Well…I always did say I could get used to this place. Except…who’s running this operation?”

Brock kissed her, let the kiss linger so he could taste her mouth and lick her lips. “Flip you for it?”

“Uh, let’s get back to the team idea.” She wrapped her arms around his neck. “So, no play acting that we’re a married couple?”

“Hell, no. I want the world to know you belong to me.”

Keira wiggled. “Anyone gets a glimpse of your handprint on my ass, they’re going to know it. I’m not sure I can get used to the idea of you being a family man. But I’d sure like to try.”

“Does that mean yes?”

“Oh, yeah, it means yes—but only if I get to do the spankings sometimes.”

EPILOGUE

Five days later

Brock was proven right. Mostly. PJ lasted less than two days in the desert before she convinced Talib to fly to Hawaii for a real honeymoon. Brock saw them off at the airport and came back to find Keira waiting for him at the palace. Well, waiting and working—since it had been so easy for her to get past the guards the night Erin had disappeared, she was playing games of hide and seek with them, teaching them how to find her and also turning it around to where she was hunting them. The younger guards seemed to enjoy the simulations, and they were getting faster at catching her and their teammates.

He watched her put them through catching two intruders, then three. She gave them some tips, and some praise, and Brock watched their chests swell as they congratulated each other. Coming over to her, he wrapped an arm around her waist. “You’ve got them ready to die for you.”

“Yeah, well, I’d rather have them sharper.” She glanced at him. “Sorry you weren’t on that plane for some new exotic location? Some new job?”

He shook his head. “No. You?”

Keira leaned into his embrace. “Think we could grab a day off and do some sightseeing?”

Brock leaned down and whispered in her ear what he’d like to do. He smiled when she blushed. “Don’t like that idea?” he asked. “You’ve been to that beach; it’s totally secluded—perfect skinny-dipping spot. We can be back by dinner. Palace security can keep things under control for us until then, especially if we leave Maela in charge. Hell, she may even pack us a picnic.”

With a grin, Keira slipped out of his arms. “I’ll go ask her. You go get ready. And hurry up!”

He gave her a salute. “Yes, boss. Whatever you say.” He grinned. A settled life in Jawhara was going to be different from anything he’d ever known, but in this case, different was good. Very, very good. Because Keira was making that difference a wonderful thing in his life.

Just as he was about to walk away, his phone rang. Slade.

“You just missed the happy couple—well, happy PJ. I think Talib was really looking forward to that tent in the desert.”

Slade chuckled. “Not why I called, but good to know. I sent over some files for you and Keira to look at. I wanted to get your opinion on it.”

Brock rubbed his head and looked toward the palace. “Now? We were going to head to the beach.”

“Not urgent. Next few days would be great. Enjoy the beach and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”

Brock picked up the pace, heading back inside. “Well, considering you’re practically a monk, you’re seriously hampering my plans.”

Slade coughed out a laugh. “Fair point. Have fun. I’ll check in later this week.”

“Will do.” Brock pocketed his phone and jogged up the stairs to their room.

Walking inside, Keira was already dressed in a bikini, or decidedly undressed, given how little fabric there was covering her body. Growling, he stalked toward her.

“I’ve changed my mind.”

Keira whirled around. “About what?”

Her eyes widened at the look on his face. And she started to back up. Grinning, he lunged for her, scooped her up, and tossed her on the bed before following her down. Pinning her beneath him, he began to kiss her.

“About going out. I don’t care how secluded that beach is, there’s no way I’m letting another person see you in that.” Tugging at her top, he found the tie and pulled it loose, exposing her breasts.
