Lucien stepped up beside me, taking my hand and raising it into the air. "Welcome your new queen, Rava!"
The cheering got even louder, filling my ears and my heart. This was all I had ever wanted; and I'd got it in the most unexpected of ways.
Lucien squeezed my hand and then led me to the throne, assisting me as I climbed the steps and took my place. He stood to one side, while Kyveli and Reon took the other. They helped to keep me balanced, each offering me something different to the others.
I was so fucking lucky.
A clap of thunder shook the air then, light flashed, and, in its wake, a sparkling golden crown emerged, glinting with diamonds and emeralds. As it hovered in the air, the crowd was silent, rapt by this appearance, then it slowly lowered to my head. The final sigil of my rulership here.
Once again, the crowd roared. I closed my eyes and used their emotions to create a vast feast, tables laden with food and drink and everything they could want, spreading through the town. I could see it in my mind and I pushed out, making it real. Music started up, distracting the crowd, moving them into the festivities beyond the immediate vicinity of the castle.
I sat back in my chair and exhaled a long sigh of relief.
"Are you okay, my love?" Lucien asked.
"More than okay," I said, basking in the afterglow of creation. "I'm the freaking queen!"
Kyveli's throaty chuckle sounded in my ears. "The freaking Queen of Envy," she said, and then a whisper only for me. "Who might want to take that Prince to bed, before he has a chance to get jealous again."
It was my turn to laugh then, because while I knew he was beyond that now, she was absolutely right. I'd kept him at a distance since arriving and it was time to change that. I stood from my throne then, let Lucien take my hand.
"If you don't mind, the Prince and I have some business to attend to," I said, glancing at my two other loves. Kyveli winked at me, and Reon blushed, clearly knowing full well what I intended to do.
Lucien seemed to be the only one none the wiser, but he followed me dutifully. "Come on, lover, we have some catching up to do."
Chapter thirty-two
Rava
IledLucienthroughthe big doors and back into the castle, but once my foot landed inside, we were transported to another room entirely. This was a small bedchamber with a dark marble floor and only a small curtain shaded by golden, gossamer thin fabric. The main feature of the room was the bed, which took up so much space that there was barely room for anything else.
There were satin sheets on the bed, a lush velvet blanket, all in a deep blue with gold accents.
It was lucky I liked gold.
"Where are we?" Lucien asked, spinning to take in the place before looking back to me.
"Somewhere new. Somewhere just for us." I reached toward him and placed a hand over his heart, feeling the thrum of our tether, so strong and clear now.
"There is no door," he said, a smile tugging at his lips.
I shook my head, grinning. "No one can bother us here."
He stepped toward me, but I shook my head, letting my magic tingle along my flesh, closing my eyes and willing what I wanted into existence. Lucien gasped, and I opened my eyes, my grin widening.
He was naked, apart from the tie that I had neglected to make use of the very first night that we'd been together. I was wearing sexy underwear, a half cup bra, my nipples hard and pointing directly at him, and crotchless panties, lacey. All in black.
"You..." Lucien couldn't seem to form words, but I didn't need him to. I was in charge here and I was going to take what I wanted from him and give him everything in return. I gripped the tie and tugged him toward the bed, delighting in the fact that he stumbled before remembering to move his legs. I could practically feel his eyes burning holes in my ass as he watched me walk and tried to keep up.
Thankfully it wasn't far. I stopped by the bed and pointed to it.
"I want you there."
Lucien tried to reach for me, but I shook my head and bit my lip, hoping he could see that I wanted to be in charge this time. That I wanted to worship him in the same way that he had me back on earth. He complied, his wings sinking into his back. I gripped his arm.
"No. I want you in all your glory. Please? Show me who you really are."
It was like all the edges of his form blurred and he became the full demon he'd shown me in my room. So much more than he had been before, perfectly himself, delicious. I wondered if he thought I preferred his human aspect; I would show him otherwise. Prove it in every way. Because the demon before me was hotness incarnate and I wanted him inside me, so badly.
