“I’m clean as well,” he told her.

Grizzly had taken a test a week ago and could show her the results on his phone, but she begged him again to fuck her. He was a goner.

How could he refuse? He guided his cock into her entrance. She was unbelievably wet and tight for him, and he didn’t stop until he was balls deep in her.

Piper gasped, digging her nails into the skin of his arms. Grizzly didn’t mind the slight bite of pain. Heck, it only turned him on even more.

Grizzly began to rut her. He started with slow and careful strokes, savoring the passionate expression on her face and every single moan he managed to wrestle from her beautiful lips.

“Faster, Grizzly. Please.”

It was the last word that undid him. He took her, faster and harder. She panted against him, urging him to keep going. Grizzly pumped in and out of her, his last stroke brushing against her G-spot.

Piper arched her back, whimpering as he aimed for that special place again. After his wife died, Grizzly sometimes sought out random hook-ups and one-night stands. Sex had become nothing more than a need, like grabbing a box of cigarettes from the convenience store.

He’d forgotten how special it was, being with the right person. Each time their bodies joined, it felt like a part of him drifted away to touch her gorgeous soul. It had been a long time since he allowed himself to be completely vulnerable and intimate with another woman other than Ariana.

Every muscle in Grizzly’s body tightened. His balls drew tight against his body. His last push sent Piper flying off the edge of oblivion. She climaxed, screaming out his name.So fucking sweet, Grizzly thought. He hammered her a few more times before the pressure inside him broke. He came, emptying his seed inside her.

Piper rested her head against his body. She seemed to be trying to catch her breath. Grizzly ran his fingers through her sweat-soaked hair. He wondered what it would be like to take her officially as his old woman. Ariana would have wanted him to be happy, he knew that.

Too bad making Piper his woman came with consequences. She was wanted by the Black Dogs MC, probably by others as well. Grizzly could make her untouchable, but at what cost?

Besides, King would take his side but not hers. He couldn’t take on an entire enemy MC on his own. Grizzly would lose that particular war, so he probably had to play it safe and careful.

He decided he’d debate this later. Right now, he had a beautiful woman to cuddle and take care of. Grizzly wasn’t the sort of man who’d leave a woman hanging after they had such a good time together.

“Come on, it must be uncomfortable sitting on the cold kitchen counter. Let me take you to bed.” He gathered her to him. Piper automatically wrapped her arms and legs around his body. Grizzly carried her from the kitchen counter and to his bed, laying her gently down on the sheets.

“One sec,” he said. Grizzly made a quick trip to the bathroom. After grabbing a towel, he returned to Piper. She looked uncertainly at him now underneath her long lashes.

“Don’t tell me you have any regrets about what happened,” he said.

He used the towel to clean both of them up before joining Piper in bed. His presence seemed to relax her. Piper snuggled close to him, letting out a contented sigh when Grizzly gathered her close. He could smell the shampoo in her air. Her scent wrapped all around him.

“Grizzly, I’m scared of what will happen tomorrow,” she admitted.

“There’s no reason to. Whatever tomorrow throws at us, we’ll tackle it together,” he said. Such a grand promise to make to a woman he just met, and yet Ariana always told Grizzly that despite his bloody hands, deep down he’d always been a protector.

“I don’t mean to sound ungrateful, but won’t siding with me only pull you further into my mess?” Piper asked him.

“Without a doubt,” Grizzly replied, nuzzling her neck. It amazed him how well their bodies fit so well together. “But you don’t deserve this either, Piper. For now, put your mind at ease. You’re safe. They can’t touch you here.”

“Okay,” she murmured.“Safe. I like that.”

Chapter Seven

The red-haired man with the mohawk was there again, watching her from across the street. He stood by his Harley while smoking a joint.

Piper rubbed the goosebumps on her arms as their gazes crossed. She had taken a close-up picture of him the day before with her phone.

Then she’d zoomed in on the back of his jacket. This man didn’t wear the same patch as Grizzly did. The head of a vicious black dog showing off its sharp teeth graced his leather cut. Piper didn’t need to be a genius to figure out he belonged to the Black Dogs MC.

He gave her the finger, and Piper retreated into the apartment like a frightened mouse. A week had passed since Grizzly and her made love for the first time.

Piper didn’t leave the apartment. According to Grizzly, it was for her personal safety. If she needed something, Grizzly would head out and get it for her, no questions asked.

However, yesterday morning, when the sun wasn’t even up, she’d been woken up by noises in the living room. One of Grizzly’s MC brothers had arrived, needing Grizzly’s help with a mission gone wrong.
