“That’s how I feel about you, Alexei,” he whispered into my ear, nipping the outer edge.

It seemed fucking perfect to me.

Tuesday

Sacha,Vas, and Bodhi picked us up from the hospital after days of being stuck there, though having Oli as my roommate made it much better than my last stay. When I asked where the others were, Vas cuddled me closer and refused to answer. Oli and Bodhi were curled up together on my other side, content to be together again.

In the rearview mirror, Sacha smirked at me. “Ansel said he had no doubt that his children were going to come today so he was staying home to make sure they didn’t try to take anything. Thomas is helping Rhodes and Razor at the new compound you gave them. I’m pretty sure Alexei and Maksim were fucking loud enough that the entire house knew what they were doing.”

“Hard to imagine Alexei as a bottom, though, to be fair, I can’t picture Maksim submitting to anyone,” Vas commented.

Oli snorted. “Yeah, you might want to rethink that given how many orgasms Alexei gave our girl the first time they were together.”

“What does that mean?” Bodhi asked even though Vas muttered that he didn’t want to know.

“Thirty-three,” I answered, shivering with the memory of that night. I really needed him to take control of me again. Fuck, that would be hot as hell.

Sacha whistled as Vas bitched about getting details he didn’t want. So, basically, it was a totally normal car ride with everyone. The only difference was having a new destination as our home. The guys were still keeping the Ashview apartment for work business, but it wasn’t big enough for all of us, especially with the babies coming. I still needed to figure out what I was doing with the fortune that Maeve had left me, but that was a problem for later.

When we got back, Sacha and Vas helped Oli out of the car as I headed up to the front door with Bodhi hovering behind me. Right before I could reach for it, someone opened it from the other side—Ansel. Without hesitation, I threw myself at him. He easily caught me, wrapping me up in his arms and pressing his face into my neck.

“I missed you,” I told him.

“I came up there yesterday, Liebling,” he reminded me with a hint of laughter in his voice.

“So?” I countered with a grin before he kissed me soundly. I hummed happily as we moved inside, settling down on the couch while the others slowly joined us. Alexei and Maksim came later. Everyone wasted no time, claiming we’d need to institute sex volume rules, much to Alexei’s mortification. Maksim just leveled a look at them and asked if those applied to me as well because I was a screamer.

“But you all love my screams,” I told them wide-eyed.

They kept giving each other shit until Rhodes and Thomas wandered in. Things with Thomas were still on shaky ground. We were happy to be together, but navigating his trauma, mine, and all the history we needed to untangle would take time. Allen had called to say that the murder case was being dropped. Apparently, there was new evidence that disputed the match from the DNA in my rape kit. I didn’t plan to look at it too closely. No more questioning from the police was always a good thing in my book. The department even sent me a formal letter of apology due to Lewis’ conduct during my case. Some things were better left in the past, so I was happy to close that door for now.

Rhodes sat down on my other side, and I leaned over to kiss him, happy to be back with everyone even as Vas and Maksim started yelling at each other. Some things would always stay the same no matter what life threw our way.

When Blake, their men, and Emmerich waltzed in a few hours later, Atlas immediately went to check on Oli while Ansel, Rhodes, and Emmerich started talking business. Sacha came over and sat beside me, wrapping his arms around me.

“I love you.”

“I love you too, boss,” I told him softly, smiling when he kissed the side of my head.

It took some time, but I’d found my family.

I was finally home.

Six months later

One cry, then another, filled the hospital room. Normally, that’d be cause for alarm, but this time it sent relief flooding through me. I’d done it. The doctor and nurses were cleaning them up and cradling them in my arms. A boy and a girl. They were perfect.

A soft kiss was pressed to my forehead. Rhodes was standing beside me, watching the babies with wonder-filled eyes.

“I’m okay, hotshot,” I told him gently. “So are they.”

He’d told me about his past, sharing the history that had made my pregnancy such a scary thing for him. The overprotectiveness he’d shown had put Sacha to shame, which was impressive in an almost smothering kind of way. It was an intense time, and I was ready to be free of that level of scrutiny from them. Their focus could now be turned to the children who had a large enough family that they’d probably get away with nothing… unless one of their dads was involved in whatever mischief they’d caused.
