“Really?”

“Look, I don’t know who you think you are, and I don’t really have to explain this to you, but I will, just so you’ll get off my case. You’re the only one who knows that I refer to you-know-what as the milkshake. And to be quite honest, you’re only the second guy whose milkshake I have…” I paused for a few seconds. “Enjoyed.”

“And I’m taking it Matthew wasn’t the first?” he said, staring at me.

“No, Matthew was not the first. I’ve never even had his straw in my mouth.”

“Have you had his straw in other places?”

“It’s none of your business,” I said.

“I want to know. Because if you have, he’s off this deal.”

I rolled my eyes.

“Oh my God. You’re absolutely ridiculous, Travis.”

“Eagle, I think we…”

I pressed his arm. “Oh my God, really, Travis?”

“Tell me the truth.” He looked at me.

“No, we’ve made out. Okay. That’s about it. We’ve done other stuff, but we haven’t had sex.”

“What other stuff?” he said under his breath.

“Oh my gosh. I’m a grown woman, Travis!”

“What other stuff?”

“He’s touched me. Ya know?”

“He’s touched you where?”

“Over material. We didn’t go that far. Okay? I wasn’t interested in him in that way. We went on a couple of dates because he was a summer associate at my dad’s firm and my dad wanted us to date. He was hopeful we would get married or something. But we went on a couple of dates, and I wasn’t interested in him like that.”

He smiled then. “That makes sense.”

“What do you mean, that makes sense?”

“He looks like a bit of a pansy.”

“Really, Travis?”

“What? He couldn’t even seal the deal with you.”

“What, like it’s easy to seal the deal with me or something?”

I was getting angry.

“That’s not what I’m saying. He’s smart. But if he knew how to work his fingers, even over the material, let’s be real, he would’ve got a little play.”

I stared at him for a couple of seconds and rolled my eyes.

“You’re such a pig, Travis.”

“What can I say? Hey, I know how to work you.”
