Then she did because it was too much. So much more than she’d imagined but now she understood. Things she’d dreamed about suddenly made sense. The natural instincts she felt around him fit into a bigger picture.
She wanted to know everything.
He pulled his hand from her panties after another long pet. He sucked his fingers and it made her shiver.
“As delicious as I expected. Next time, the flavor of you will be on my tongue directly from your pussy.”
He turned her face, stared into her eyes, and kissed her. They shared the taste of each other and it was strangely beautiful, almost painfully intimate.
He held her, his thumb gently rubbing over her nipple, and kissed her for a long time. Slowly, he released her breast, hugged her, and stood with her in his arms.
On their feet, he turned her, slipped his hand along her neck, and kissed her again. She held him as hard as she could.
Pulling back, his blue-green eyes held hers. “You need to go back to what you were doing, Amanda. Put distance between us for now. I’m already hard again, aching to be inside you.”
“Erick…”
“If you stay here even one minute longer, I will fuck you.” He exhaled roughly. “I have a condom in my pocket since it’s literally all I can think about. Here, now, we don’t have the privacy or time we need.” One more kiss and he stepped away. “Go on. Now, Amanda.”
Nodding, she inhaled carefully. Taking down her hair, she put it back up again since he’d loosened it with his hands. She adjusted her shorts, her bra, smoothed her t-shirt.
Gesturing down her body, she asked, “Good?”
“Oh, yeah.”
Laughing, she said, “I meant do I look calm, presentable, in case I run into anyone outside?”
Reaching behind him, he pulled his t-shirt over his head. “You look like you’ve been kissed. Those pouty lips are pinker, fuller than usual. Otherwise, you look the picture of innocence.”
“Excellent.”
“See you later, Amanda.”
Walking to the back door, she threw away the trash sitting in the mudroom and waited on the porch for a long moment. The summer air felt amazing.
She could hear people in the pool and Sterling laughing but she couldn’t face anyone yet. She idly wondered how long she’d been in her library with Erick.
It took a while before she felt settled enough to return to her friends. She stopped in the bathroom downstairs to wash her face and hands.
As she left it, Noel waited just outside, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.
“No-No…hey.”
“Hello there, Amanda. Having a good morning?”
“Um…”
“Hungry?” Amanda nodded. “I picked up croissants, pastry, and fruit salad. Everyone else has already cycled through the kitchen at some point. Erick ate earlier. I think he’s packing up your library. Good thinking. Having familiar things around you will help.” Pushing off the wall, she added, “Zoe, Lizzy, and Davis have all the kids in the pool. Callie is asking your new team a million questions. I think they like her, too.”
Taking a deep breath, Amanda remarked, “You know. I don’t know how but you do.”
Noel grinned. “It’s good that you two are building slowly toward what you need. It won’t feel forced that way. I didn’t want that for you.”
“I agree.”
“We leave in three days.”
“So soon…?”
